I bought one, and I didn’t have any issues with it. They sent me the email as soon as it hit 5:55. Maybe your email filtered it as spam?
Good thing I didn't pursue it then. I initially wanted to get one, but one of my grails suddenly came up for a good deal and I changed plans.
But it sucks that the promised prioritize acces didn't work. Maybe they weren't prepared for the demand and couldn't handle it?

To be fair I had signed up with my work email too to make sure I got the email. Just so happened to get a code for signing up.

Their mailing system broke and over half of the watches probably went to bots. I pity those who paid full price instead of using a discount coupon though.
Im really surprised this is so popular. Its a 43 mm, 51 lug to lug diver with 51 ghosts randomly on the dial? I dont get it
43 is pretty normal for a diver. not everyone has small wrists
I wear watches from 36 mm to 42, I dont have a problem with the size. But on this sub there are so many bitching about oversized divers that Im surprised this one sold out so quick. I guess theres a silent majority

Why don't we compare it to the Fifty Fathoms which the design is inspired by... There is a 40.3mm, a 42.3mm and a 45mm version. I would say that this watch fits purely in the middle of the actual Blancpain dimensions and I don't think you need to compare it to any other diver imo...
It is a joke "pun intended" inpired from the "fifty phatoms" by blancpain. Honestly i think it is funny and clever. The also made the Pain blanc,it is in french and it mean white bread, another of their "pun intended" watch
It's a hype watch. Cute kitschy theme, limited edition. You'll see flippers hocking them on ebay and /r/Watchexchange soon after release for an inflated price.
I'm sure plenty of people who bought it did so with the intention to keep it, but plenty of others try to capitalize on other people's FOMO when these kind of limited release watches come out.
I own one Spinnaker, it's a decent watch But this hype train was hardly interesting
I registered for priority access over a week ago. Got the email bang on 11. Opened it straight away. All.somd.out.

The mail popped up for a millisecond, the moment I opened it it disappeared. Not in spam, nowhere. Fuck me… and of course sold out when it went live at 12:07 or something
I actually was up and ready to receive pre access email link, which came right on time. The watches were sold out before three min. My issue with how Spinnaker handled this is that up until 5:55 AM today there was never a full image of watch on their site. Nor did I know there would be two colors to choose from. So at 5:55 when I clicked the link to the site I took two min to look at the images from the two colors. Picked the grey but by that point 5:57 AM it was sold out, then tried to get black and it, too, was sold out (5:58 AM). Had the actual watch page been available prior to 5:55 AM today I could have made up my mind prior to today and did a mad dash straight for check out instead of spending two min looking at the two color options. Now they have an official sold out page thanking everyone for overwhelming support and they may bring it back next Halloween (or something similar). Sigh.

Not sure scam is the appropriate word here. That being said, I have a limited edition skeleton Croft that I never use because it's got an insane amount of glare/reflectiveness. Looks like a damn mirror outside or really anywhere with enough lighting. Wonder if they've improved the AR on newer watches.
