I keep the door to this room closed when I'm gone and thankfully she's never gone for my headphones.

She will, when it is ripe with your ear sweat smell. Just to show how much she loves you. My cat has chew and scratch 3 pads now.

I want to upgrade from Sennheiser HD599s. I am thinking on buying the Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X or maybe the 700.

Will I notice the upgrade? I use them with an Ibasso DC04 Pro. I feel like the HD599 are very good for their price but they lack some punch specially when I put the volume up. They don't get punchy but loud.

What do you think?

I haven’t tried these on, but I gotta say, I like the old headband on my DT770 better than this one. The pad is easily replaceable (tho I think this one is replaceable as well) and I like the look of it more since it wraps around the metal headband. They are super comfortable to me. However, the fact you can switch out cables on the new one is a huge improvement imo - and many others I imagine. I’m glad you’re enjoying them!

Owned both the 770s and 700 Pro X a while back. IMO the 700 pro x was a pretty significant upgrade and I’d still own them if my left ear didn’t touch the driver which drove me insane!! It is so hard to find a neutral closed back without spending double or more what these cost. If they fit you, they’re great value. Enjoy!

That mfer in the back looks like they’re trying to figure out how to stretch -$20 over a 2 week period.
