A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I was shooting for a client with his camera, after I was done I took the SD card out to plug it into my ipad and the sd card was empty. I put it back into the camera and still nothing, even though I could scroll trough all the pics while the card was in.

I've tried Recuva to see if I can recover the pics but I just found a lot of old pics from 2013 but not the ones I took today.

What are my options?

There is a chance your iPad cant read the pictures. Plug it in a PC or Mac and check if the pictures are in the card.

Tried to no avail, currently going through 5th recovery app, none can find the raws from yesterday, only older files

Are you using these recovery apps on an iPad?!

If so, yes, do definitely switch to a PC and try there.

If you can scroll through the pics then the pics are certainly still there

I cant scroll through them, I could when when SD card was in but once I removed it, even after putting it back it shows nothing

Bs. I’ve been using the same 18 cards and not rotating since 2009-11. Lexar
