Summary

Elon Musk claims widespread Social Security fraud, but evidence contradicts these assertions, with experts criticizing Musk’s claims as exaggerated and misleading.

Musk alleged that millions of dead people over 100 were collecting benefits, but audits found only 202 cases of deceased beneficiaries.

Social Security’s inspector general reported less than 1% of payments as improper, mostly from clerical errors, with most funds recovered. Despite scrutiny, Social Security remains one of the most audited federal agencies.

Budget cuts and canceled contracts risk hampering anti-fraud efforts.

Because he is a liar.

His goal is to gut social security in order to offset the costs of tax breaks for billionaires.

It’s just another scheme to transfer more wealth to the ultra wealthy.

The headline even suggests that he found fraud elsewhere, which is not true. They class fraud as anything that does not align with their racist and misogynistic views. Last count was after correcting their count was 2 billion they apparently saved from “fraud”.

Such a moronic waste of the US taxpayer dollars considering the overall amount of money that gets spent is somewhere in the trillions so like 0.2% of total savings. Great job Leon.

The fraud is the person looking for it.

Because it’s hard to snap out of a k-hole when you gotta keep rolling.
