Diversity for the sake of diversity is retarted

I tuned in late in the 3rd, but didn't even take note of the fact that it was two women until I saw it in Reddit game thread. AKA I thought it was fine. Doris does Doris things in fixating on her favorite superstar, but I've come to expect it at this point.

I’m a woman. If I never hear Doris commentate another game in my life, it’ll be too soon. The substance of what she’s saying relative to what’s happening in the game is either wrong or drivel.

I say this as someone who really enjoyed her on JJ podcast this summer and was excited to hear her commentate.

Sideline reporter did fine, although to be fair I don’t think I’ve ever really had an opinion on a sideline reporter lol. As far as the broadcast booth goes my response is, there were 2 people doing that?

Beth Mowins is good, but Doris Burke never shuts the fuck up. Her incessant questioning of why guys are or aren't making certain plays drives me nuts. Poor Cassidy Hubarth was tragic last night lol. Kept forgetting her questions, froze up, forgot who Jaylen Brown was while interviewing him. Pretty rough broadcast all around

The raptors had an all female broadcast that was far superior to this. Also, being anti woke is cringe af.

Hubarth was fine, Mowins in the rare chance she got to get a word in was ok (only real problem is her voice is similar to Doris'), but Doris as per usual sucked.

She just seems to randomly pick one team and just gasses them up all game. Even I got tired of her sucking off the Celtics at one point, like...you know the Heat are a basketball team too right Doris? And when she wasn't doing that she was on her usual rambling nonsense.

Congrats ESPN, you've made me miss Mark Jackson ffs

I'd rather have Doris as a sideline reporter

I switched to spanish 1 quarter in. The thing that bugs me the most is that doris was a very good basketball player, and when she was first allowed to finally commentate she was great, doing a lot of analyses of plays that were run and strengths vs weaknesses of players. Now, i dont know if espn told her to or she decided to, she says meaningless garbage that all the talking heads at espn say.

She never had a good voice for commentating so its become insufferable honestly. And i liked her first few broadcasts so im really sad. I love good basketball analysis in the games it really adds to the experience
