Addditionally, all three movies will be released on 4K Blu-ray - Wolf Children on August 5, Summer Wars on April 1 (next week), and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time for fall 2025.

Wolf Children starts off fairly cringe, but by golly if I'm not weeping by the end...

Summer Wars was... Confusing, if I remember right. It was bizarre.

I also never quite got a grip on Summer Wars. I got this sense that the pacing and storytelling was not at all designed or intended for me (as an American viewer, watching subs). But I would never argue it was a “bad” movie, or even that it didn’t work. I just got the sense that I was not the right judge of it.

If there are cases to be made for it, I’m all ears.
