Help... My Logitech headphones wires got cut (alien.top)

somehow, they still work, but only if the wire is looping around itself, which is weird. i "fixed" it by wrapping it in electrical tape to the way it works, but I'm almost certain that will damage it even more. should I get a new headset or this one is can still be fixed without spending much cash?
