Needing gifted penalties to score against shite back line.

Stones is doing worse to Rashford in that sequence of play then what Hojlund is doing

[–] propabanta@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I remember when Arsenal didn’t get this call against United at the Emirates last year when Maguire did the same thing to Tomiyasu.

Not sure how to feel tbh.

[–] SaltOk6642@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Alright if that counts then get ready for a about 5 pens every game, fuck this stupid league

[–] jNushi@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I mean it’s a foul by the law of the game but this happens multiple times every game and no one gives a shit about it. Ref had to see 40 views to overturn his decision? Clear and obvious doesn’t seem to matter anymore

[–] normott@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Penalty is probably thexdumbest law in football. Atleast the way its applied. The number of times they turn a nothing chance into an 80% chance is ridiculous.

Also the consistency with which this type of thing is refreshing is extremely frustrating. Sometimes a Rugby tackle is let go, other times they give a pen for this. Quote generous

[–] fools_eye@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Every corner better be a penalty at this point. The inconsistency on these is mind boggling.

[–] trilliveythefourth@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

After watching sasa get bear hugged and lifted while in the box and in possession with no penalty- then watching this get called today- I genuinely don’t know what counts a hold in the box….

[–] SeleccionUruguaya@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hand of Allah

[–] Jewdicial@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The problem is that if a single United player gets held briefly on any set piece for the rest of the game it HAS to be a penalty or it's a robbery. I just doubt they'll be consistent

[–] Muppetx@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Michael Oliver is an idiot who has never played a game of football. Tierney is spineless.

[–] Toothpaste_on_pizza@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Nothing to see here lads, just your average City penalty.

[–] I_like_trains_mkaay@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Im not surprised city have the fewest touches in the box per penalty.

[–] DomagojDoc@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

If ref called it first I can take that.

But VAR calling it clear and obvious error is absolutely ridiculous.

[–] ibite-books@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That’s such a soft pen. I would like to see Man Utd lose every week, but not because of shit ref decisions.

[–] Spreeg@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

When you consider they didn't take away the penalty yesterday because it wasn't clear and obvious, this is bullshit

[–] lito9321@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

There better be weekly VAR checks on every corner kicks and free kicks because that happens every set piece play.

[–] DHillMU7@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Add another to the list of absolute robberies against us. Absolutely mental - at least they gave us that hilarious Onana decision to disguise how badly they were going to shag us for the rest of the season.

[–] Tsupernami@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We're gonna see 12 penalties a game if that's a penalty. Maybe it should be, but give us so consistency.

[–] TheSoundOfTheLloris@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Absolutely joke decision that. Rodri is never getting to the ball

[–] RahulGandhi4PM@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Hojland giveth, Haaland taketh

[–] Aly007@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is fucking ridiculous. Soft as camel shit. Refs permanent on oil money

[–] AztecAvocado@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We’ve literally had every decision post Wolves game go against us. Unbelievable.

[–] ChrisV88@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

There is about to be 30 penaltys a weekend if that's a penalty. Fucking useless.

[–] TehJofus@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You’d probably get a free kick for that, bit harsh for a penalty though.

I know foul criteria should be the same everywhere, but we all know it’s not.

[–] Malsharif91@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Is this the English refs seeing what happen in the Classico and trying to say “we would have given that”… this happens every corner. Unless they want 50 penalties every weekend this was a ridiculous call.

[–] creative_penguin@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It can very well be a foul but it is rarely ever called one. Once again, the lack of consistency makes every decision feel like a coin flip

[–] NigerianEagle@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

This is such a joke. Everything so subjective with VAR. Literally the opposite of what it was supposed to be

[–] DesertRL@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I implore people to return to watch this again tomorrow, when your tears have dried, and see that it is as blatant a penalty as you will see

[–] achickendandacow@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

VAR has been fucking us over all season.

[–] ImReallyGrey@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Soft but it is a foul, but this will never be enforced consistently. Sasa was held yesterday and VAR wasn’t having any of it, even after giving a pen against Hwang for kicking the floor

[–] IAmNotStelio@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'm expecting this game to end 9-9 then after every free kick and corner results in a penalty.

[–] djking_69@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Best league in the world Hu? If you're team is run by oil money that's for sure.

[–] WorthStory2141@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

VAR is an absolute scam at this point. Clear and obvious?

Rodhi NEVER getting on the end of that.

[–] royk16@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Var is a lottery

[–] SoyScandal@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Gvardiol is doing the same shit to Rashford in this play lol

[–] PaintedSe7en@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

What a pathetic example of officiating. Oliver and Tierney should be fucking embarrassed.

[–] THWMatthew@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The fact VAR intervened for this is nuts. Like it is a foul, arguably probably yes. But you can probably point to at least 20 decisions so far this seaosn which have been more deserving of a pen. The Trusty foul on Nketiah was more of a pen than this, and I’d never expect that to get overturned

[–] Outside-River9812@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

At this point If people don't think that Manchester city is favored every single tournament, they are really naive.

[–] AcesAgainstKings@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I'd welcome giving a penalty every time this happens, but you can't just give one like this out of nowhere.

[–] internetseeker95@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Could not be a pen if Rodri did that to Hojlund in reverse
