i was super torn between aria 2 and thruthear hexa but i guess now its decided

I would say hold on until you see some reviews
Wait till reviews are out, man. I just hope reviews will be out hefore 11.11 sale lol.
as both original Aria and Hexa owner, I'd say I prefer Hexa more than the Aria (disclaimer, I prefer IEF Neutral 2023 target). the treble is more detailed on the Hexa, it's less warm than Aria but the bass has more punch; I guess being a hybrid helps on that regard. also, the warmth can still be brought back with a bit of EQ
I'm also on a need of another similarly priced IEM to accompany Hexa as my daily driver, but still hasn't decided on anything, unless the Aria 2 could change my mind
The damn screw again
I don't know about the build quality, but I think it looks really ugly.
I just hope tuning will be similar to the original Aria.
If anyone can do a comparison with stuff like ea500 that will be cool. Though I honestly think I know how they are gonna sound..
How would you think they gonna sound like? I have seen people saying that they will sound like SF2. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case but I'm hoping this to be a refinement of Aria 1.
Also, in the product page for Aria2, Moondrop has included "trickle down flagship technolog" lol. I know this is just pure marketing but hopefully that means this will be actually good.
Was just about to get the Aria SE. Guess I’m waiting a bit longer to see how these perform.
Yeah, I was actualyl waiting for 11.11 sales to buy Aria and they just started teasing Aria 2 last week. Hopefully, this will be better over the Aria.
Same here. Looks like these are a bit tamer than the SEs in terms of highs, but waaaay closer to the SEs than the originals, at least with regard to the tuning
Any review on this? If it's good then i would sell my Aria for this
Not yet man. It just released, so it will take a few days or weeks to get a review out.
I wouldn't put my hopes too high. Last "revision", starfield 2, was almost unanimously disliked, but more importantly it sounded nothing like the original starfield. If they follow the same trend, there's no guarantee that this will sound like the og Aria, which was praised for its tuning and for being basically a starfield but cheaper. They changed the original starfield tuning for the worse, and we can only hope they don't do the same with the Aria 2. Even if they don't change it, it's just going to be an Aria with marginally better build and what looks like a decently better cable, anyway probably not worth it if you already have the Aria. And even if they change the tuning and it's still good, there are already many other single dd options in that price and even under, budget dd iems are kind of a solved technology nowadays. Still, let's just wait for reviews and see if this becomes a better standard recommendation over the og Aria
Yeah, I saw the whole debacle with SF2 so I don't have high hopes. Even if it does happen, I guess I will just go with Aria or Aria SE. Both are 10 bucks cheaper than this so it will be a win for me lol.
It just came out
Nothing written about the paint being improved 👀 Just saying, prepare for the chipping
Let’s hope the build quality has improved
So.... Is this just gonna be a half step to Kato?
It might be more comfortable at least. The Kato is one of the heaviest iems on the market. The polished metal looks nice, but I honestly wish they would've used plastic for them.
Fair points. Kato is indeed heavy and can encroach on comfort issues.
I like my aria and aria snow sound but hate how their paint peels. I remember at the aria snow launch someone asked if the paint would peel in a chinese interview whoever there said it wouldnt.
Fast forward a few months later i see chips in the aria snow paint around the edges where they would meet my ear. Probably ear grease getting to the paint.
Seeing the shell looks 90% like snows' they probably use the same paint again.
I got a truthear zero red with resin shell and the sound is more thumpy but otherwise identical. I dont need an Aria2.
I've seen no evidence to suggest Moondrop has improved their quality, so after my dismal experience with the OG Arias I'm not touching these.
Hmmm tempting
Was really disappointed with my truthear hexa pick up, maybe this is next
Really? Why did you dislike it?
Are these a worthy step up from the basic $20-25 IEMs? Would I be better served with a good BT DAC as well?
Probably. I was thinking of getting Aria or a Zero and pair either with a MD Dawn Pro.
What's the screw thing for?
It's an actual screw. Instead of usual gum to hold the thing together, they have used a screw.
Damn, looks sooo cool
I bought the Aria about a year ago and that's good enough for me.
That cable kinda looks like that new moondrop cable looks interesting
My daily driver IEMs are the Moondrop SSP. The Aria seems to get more praise, so I have to wonder just how much better it really is.
Will it make the sound less good if a tune them with a DSP cable ? i use a oppo reno 8 pro and i dunno anything about this specific field
Nah, I don't think so. It might even sound better who knows.
