Hey Reddit ๐Ÿ‘‹

I started working on FliQR last month because I had problems with existing solutions to use in our mobile app to import files using QR Codes.

๐Ÿ˜ฑ Here are the main problems :

  • Expires too quickly
  • No direct link to the file (points to a download page)
  • File size too limited

๐Ÿ‘‰ This is how FliQR came to be.

Itโ€™s an all-in-one, file sharing and custom QR Codes generator. Here's how it works :

  • Upload any file (up to 5GB with ou paid plan, 200 MB otherwise)
  • Customize the QR Code and download page with your brand (coming soon)
  • Save the QR Code and download links
  • Share it

๐ŸŽฏ Looking for feedback

It's weird why your logo is a picture of a hand making a bunny rabbit hand signal.

The overall UI is simple and minimal, which I like.

I would prefer to see on the main screen two things:

  1. How does the file retention work. For example, after using your service, I know that the file is automatically removed after 24 hours. But I would have wanted to know that before uploading something.
  2. What is the maximum upload file size. After using the service, I still don't know this.

I had a quick look at your Privacy Policy and I don't really like it. It says that you can use any information that you collect for the purpose of sending me ads (unless I opt out from them), and that you will retain my information as long as it is required to fulfill the services mentioned in the privacy policy which can be read to mean that you will keep my information as long as I don't opt out to receive ads from you.

This is probably simply a case of your copy pasting the Privacy Policy from somewhere else. I would consider using a much shorter and more privacy friendly policy.

I think the logo is someone flicking because the FliQR sounds like flicker.

Yes that's it

Thanks a lot for your time ! This kind of review really help to head in the right direction. As @DasBeasto mentionned the logo is a hand flicking but I did it myself and I'm not a graphic designer...

I wanted to keep things simple, not overwhelm users with informations they might not need. But you are right, I'll add those informations you mentionned.

The PP is indeed a copy/paste from a product I like, but I didn't think someone would actually read it x)

Thanks again.

On the pricing page can โ€œdepositsโ€ be โ€œuploadsโ€? Or files?

Since one upload = one file (for now at least) it's the same. Do you suggest to word it differently ?
