Hello, I bought myself a DCA Closed X because I wanted a good closed planar headphone and the reviews were all amazing I already have a Sundara which I absolutely love. And my Dac/Amp is a Topping DX3+. So the thing is, every time I listen to the DCA, I feel a strong discomfort, as if I had listened to very loud music, but it happens at a regular volume, which I never had with my sundara, or even my airpods Max/Moondrop Starfield. But with the Closed X I cannot truly enjoy my music, it feels loud when it isn't, and I have to turn volume down but the I can't really hear the music as well Does anyone know where this could come from?

I also had a slight discomfort in the highs and just inserted one layer of the dampening cloth you get with the headphones and had zero issues after that. I don't feel like it reduces the detail as much as some say, but narrowed the layering slightly and had no effect on imaging.

I noticed a very sharp sound at first too. Make sure to make use of the dampening pads that come with it as the other user said, then EQ to taste. I was very impressed once I got it to my preferences.

So far it's the only closed back that fully isolates me from the outside world while not sounding like your head is in a shoebox.
