On the side, I've wanted a rail line from Denver up to Loveland and Fort Collins now for 15 years. Literally all I want is a simple commuter line, can run on existing track. Now after all this time they're finally putting it on the ballot, and they have a plan.

Which is great.

But jesus how many I-25 lane expansions and failed interstate revamps do you have to go through. Oh so you're realizing that cars make more pollution and you can't just cover it up? If only there were alternatives to driving!

Public transit options in Denver seem pretty bad if you don't live right next to a hub. But where I moved from was just as bad, my old work commute was 90+ minutes by bus vs 20 minutes by car vs 40 minutes by bike. I'd really like some light-rail options to get into towns in the mountains more regularly. Seems like there is always a breakdown/accident on the highways and parking is usually a nightmare when I get there.
