Hello all!

Currently running a server on Windows 11, that runs multiple VMs. Total around 16 TB of data. Besides the local backup, I was considering having a backup in the cloud. Not necessarily for the entire 16TB. One of the options is Backblaze, considering that it is unlimited storage for a flat fee.

My question is, should I make some changes to the way the data is stored before uploading it to Backblaze? Like creating Cyrptomator, Veracrypt or VHDX with Bitlocker encrypted volumes?

If you have any other recommendations, maybe reliable EU based backup solutions, I would love to hear them.

Thank you in advance!

I spent some time looking for cloud storage and ended up settling on MS One Drive family subscription.

It suits me but could get "interesting" for storage needs over 1TB.

The family subscription gives you access to 6 accounts with 1TB storage each. It was the most cost effective I came across and works with Rclone.
