They are undefeated at 4-0 and have dominated every game they've played. They're fresh off a championship just like the 2016 Warriors and still have their core together. Jokic is playing even better than ever.

Do they have a chance of breaking 73-9?

No. And even if you're serious, still a no. Nuggets are focused on the goal. They're going to pace their players and want to avoid injuries as much as possible.

same energy as "are the niners going 17-0 this season?" :'(

63? Possibly if their bench keeps this up

73? That's impossible if you load manage even a LITTLE BIT or have a bit of a cold streak

No because trying to get that record would be stupid. You need a team that's like 12 deep for it to even make sense going for it.

Everyone saw the broken ass Warriors sacrifice a title for the record. No one is gonna try for that record for a long time.

If they wanted to

[–] trevortins@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Only thing in their way is health is they start off really strong like 10-0 plus then they will probably try to go for it

They aren’t that jacked of a team so I’m gonna say no

Do they have a chance? Sure, it’ll take everything and more from their thinned out bench, even though the group has played very well so far.

No team is breaking 73 with resting. Look at what Draymond said abt it aswell, they played through hella injuries that season. Id be suprised if a team got past 65.

Theyre very good though i'll pencil them at 62 dubs for the season, but thats being generous TBH

I mean, sure, there's always a chance. But nah

They’ve played the lakers who are decent

Memphis who I’m pretty sure is 0-4

Thunder who are young

Jazz a rebuilding team

Not downplaying how they look but this is a huge overreaction

They kinda looked like ass in our game against them too. If we had Ja and 1 or 2 of our rotation guys back, we probably take it fairly easily.

[–] Technical_Towel_990@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yeah that was probably the worst Jokic game I’ve seen him play in 4-5 years

[–] LamboJoeRecs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes yes, this is solid logic

[–] recollectionsmayvary@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think they can but I can see MM choosing not to because staying fresh and healthy for the playoffs is the priority.

I remember Draymond on podcast P said the 73-9 szn was hell on them and if he could do it over, they wouldn’t bother because of how much it takes out of you.

Portland started 4-0 last year

[–] runevault@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'd be shocked if they even really tried. If they get the top overall seed locked up they will coast so hard to end the year. They already proved last year they can flip the switch once the playoffs hit.

It's too early to say, but I think they can. They're just so far ahead of the rest of the league.

[–] Low_Beyond8134@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They going 98-0

[–] inshamblesx@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

they will play with a thumb up their ass after mid-january again so they'll get 61 or so

[–] dungeaterfan69@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

No, jokic would never care enough about 73 wins to go for it.

[–] Pal__Pacino@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I think they'd much rather prioritize health and stamina for the postseason

[–] electricHats75@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

We won’t know 4 games in

[–] DankTriangle@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Possible? Sure. Likely? No. This team would need like 3 more Aaron Gordon caliber players for me to confidently say they have a shot at breaking 73 wins

[–] Klonomania@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

They need to win 20 more games to match the 2016 Warriors's start to the year Let's wait until they have approximated that much.

[–] NoWayNotThisAgain@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yes. They have a chance.
