He's thrown for 9 interceptions in 6 games, also on pace for his first season without a positive TD-INT ratio.

when you’re josh allen or mahomes making huge plays along with the boneheaded mistakes that’s ok. when you’re jimmy and you have no ceiling or upside you have to protect the football

[–] Bipedal-Moose@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Problem with Jimmy is that the "huge plays" he was making in SF were within the confines of the training-wheels-to-the-max Shanahan offense. Allen and Mahomes can make big plays more frequently and they could do it with any team because of how gifted they are.

You dont see Chiefs and Bills fans really up and arms about Mahomes/Allen making dumb plays once in a while ( moreso Allen )

Because they know damn well 1 bad play can be covered up with amazing plays

Mahomes and Allen legitimately might be the most unstoppable QBs of all time when they're playing at their best since there's nothing you can do to stop their bullshit plays when they're in the zone.

Jimmy gives you like 24 points off the back of a strong run game at his best lol.

You know what's funny? I was just listening to a Bills Podcast grading the 2nd quarter of foot ball and the host, Joe Marino, mentioned how Allen is 4th lowest on turnover worthy plays. He said it just happens that all his turnover worthy plays were actual turnovers.

Oh he definitely has a ceiling. It’s as low as you’d find in a hobbit hole though.

All those injuries ruined him

Since Alex Smith retired, all the guys who people label a "game manager" end up being guys who turn the ball over. Jimmy G, Gardner Minshew, Teddy Bridgewater, Jacoby Brissett.

[–] Michigan__J__Frog@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Derek Carr is risk averse in his throws

[–] chemistrybonanza@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Brissett doesn't turn the ball over much. He only threw 6 last year

I honestly didn't think Jimmy would be this bad

[–] ChedduhBob@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

i always looked at him as a net zero. neither good or bad now he’s just ass

[–] AlternativeResort477@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Shanahan kept games out of his hands whenever he could

I know people are talkin' shit about Purdy these days but our offense is really night and day when you compare the two. Like with how we looked against the Bengals, with Jimmy G we're scoring 3 or 6 points probably.

Nah Dak had a lot tipped ball INTs Jimmy maybe only. Had one of those the rest were just as ugly as the one in the redzone last night

[–] Ladelm@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

As much as I'd like to think otherwise Jimmy is a lot more 💩 than Dak

Bet he's gonna go home and cry into his pile of ~~money~~ beautiful women

The situation with the Raiders would be funny if it wasn't actually almost sad.

...

Oh wait, no - it's really fucking funny.

Please keep winning these regular season games so Staley can stay.

[–] schmatz17@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Don’t understand why they restructured his contract

[–] IceLantern@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

There are still 49ers fans out there who think he's a good QB.

[–] startupschmartup@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It's a good thing they got rid of Carr. Things are so much better for them now.
