I ordered my framework back early august with a Ryzen 5. But because I will be running multiple VMs and large codebases i asked Framework to change my CPU to the more powerful Ryzen 7, unfortunately that's not possible. If you want to change from model they require you to cancel and reorder.

I'm not reordering to get the more powerful Ryzen 7, but I will add the larger battery if possible.

I hope Framework will clearly indicate to the user that the CPU adjustment is not possible after ordering.

I would like to make it clear that this is absolutely understandable and that I still fully support the company and I would also like to give them credit for the ability to adjust your order at all. (I changed my keyboard, expansion cards and charger)

They do? I think it says when you order and it’s on the FAQ.

They do actually tell you and it is also in their FAQ. It is quite easy to find if you just open it.

Honestly I'm running the same use cases on my Ryzen 5 and it is plenty. The 7 could have been better sure, but I didn't think it was worth it.

Hope you'll enjoy your laptop!

You're right. I removed it from the post. Thanks for letting me know.

No worries! Mistakes can be made 😁. Would have been a valid claim if it were the case.

Again hope you will enjoy the laptop either way!
