Fair banner. A “Free Israel from Bibi” banner would’ve been the icing on the cake

Incredibly based

I get it, Germans are cautious due to their past but this is some special mental gymnastics. 8000 people killed (half of them children) but that was probably Hamas too, West Bank (where Hamas doesnt exist) has forced evacuations and settlements since 70+ years.

For these melts, history probably started on 7th October 2023

From Gaza to Glasgow, give the Gazans back their homes

Sure, the refugee camps that are being bombed to death by Israel are free from Hamas.

So Hamas has killed 8000 Civilians in Gaza including 3500 children since Oct 7

[–] Martyrizing@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Somehow this is a better middle ground than some of the shit I've seen in recent weeks.

Also can we just get a sticky thread for "[football-related individual or group] [makes statement about Israel/Palestine]? Lob Russia/Ukraine in there as well.

Are Hamas forcing Palestine to live in an apartheid state?

[–] TurnCruyff@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

These clowns are only famous for one thing and they can't even do that right.

[–] brady11@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Forgive my ignorance on this. I'm someone that just wants as much peace as possible, something that is obviously incredibly difficult in this situation

Obviously against any antisemitism and anything Islamophobic, most of the terrible actions are from the government and terrorist organizations, which leads to many acting like they are the actions of all who are Jewish or Muslim

Is that not what this banner is asking? Or does "Free Palestine from Hamas" mean something else? I just interpreted it as free Palestine, but to also not have terrorist organizations. Am I missing what it means though?

I think if you ask people in Gaza who their biggest problem is right now and who they need to be 'freed' from they wouldn't say it's Hamas, and I deplore Hamas. This is an absurdity. What would it take for Germans to admit that Israel is now dangerously millitant, far right and actively committing war crimes? You don't have to excuse Hamas to point it out.

You would think a country with a history like Germany would be more alert and aware of some of the dangerous trends we've seen in Israel in terms of rhetoric and now actions.

Such a great wholesome statement by the Beacon of football activism St.Pauli. They can be really proud of this statement

[–] Dry_Box2760@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Free Palestine from hamas, but leave them under the occupation of Israel. Gotta love the German selective progressiveness.

[–] xTatamo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

the good thing israelies dont go to europe and do terrorist attacks , thats why people support them

[–] FerraristDX@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

St. Pauli stable as always.

[–] Ninindy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Would've been better to say nothing

[–] Doge_peer@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I agree. Is there something controversial about this statement?

[–] Martoxic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

now THIS is the real message.
