I bought 2 chamberlain smart garage controls (one for myself, one for my parents) and I'm having the worst time setting it up

I go through the app instructions, flashing blue light, connect to Bluetooth, connect the wifi (full bars practically a foot away from the router) and it gives me the spinning connecting for 2-3 minutes then tells me it was connected to the internet but unable to add the device to my account and I have a solid green light.

To confirm some details: 2.4ghz App is up to date Tried with Samsung phone, and Google phone Tried at my house, tried at my parents house Tried both devices separately same issue on both

I contacted support and they had me go through the accessory option, select an internet device, input the serial number, and same thing, doesn't work.

At first I thought it might be the device, but I've tried two completely different devices, I thought the wifi, but tried it at 2 different houses, and then I thought maybe it was my phone, but I also tried 2 completely different phones so I'm out of ideas

Anyone experienced this before? Were you able to get it fixed, and if so, how?

I haven't used a MyQ Smart Garage Control myself, but I have seen lots of people complaining about how unreliable they are.

I suggest ratgdo instead (it connects to Home Assistant via MQTT or ESPHome and doesn't use the cloud at all). Or rat-ratgdo if you want to build it yourself.

That may not fit your needs though, if you want a cloud-based solution.
