Barkley had a very unbarkley like comment last night in regards to rudy G and towns. However in the past year or so results of small quick guards have been mixed, even though GMs have continued to draft and sign combo guards to outlandish contracts

Jordan Poole - signed a 4/128 contract and was one of the worst players on GSWs roster last year

Tyler Herro - signed a 4/120, Decent offensively last year but his percentages regressed from the prior year, and Miami played much better without him in the playoffs

Anfernee simons - signed a 4/100, played well offensively on a poor team, but awful defensively
Other young guys:
Tyrese maxey - up for a huge payday and looking like a perennial all star
Jaden Ivey - #5 pick, results mixed so far entering year 2
Scoot Henderson - too early to tell, struggling a few games in
Almost all of these guys have horrific defense which diminishes their offensive plusses. So is Barkley right about smalls?
