Is it just me or does Jokic needs to pull the trigger more on catch and shoot 3s?

Not just because he’s a good shooter from there, but he does this thing where he catches at the 3 line, and even if he’s wide open, tries to bait the defender to close out with a pump fake and drives.

But he does the pump fake and drive into the defender even when the defender doesn’t bite, seems like he refuses to shoot the 3 ball unless wide open, leaving a ton of points on the table. He’s wide open on a ton of these looks though, and his %s indicate he should just let it go.

Then again Jokic is a basketball genius and I can barely make a layup, but maybe someone who knows basketball can answer.

I think he takes a necessary amount. His advantage is still inside, and that's where he's at most of the time. Also, his shot is slow and looks more blockable than most shooters that height.

He shot 68% from all 2s last year. Same as 45% from 3 lol. Hes making the right decision

I think whatever Jokic is doing is working just fine

He gets more points per posesion inside 3-10 ft range.
I think that he has same PPP from inside as Curry from 3pt. line iirc.

Whilst Jokic is a supremely gifted scorer, but that's not who he is as a basketball player. Much like with LeBron, he will be at his best when he is unlocking his teammates first. That means, when his teammates are good, they're REALLY good.
