Typical forward's tackle. Deserved red though.

Is that really a red?
They should really force the ref to watch the fouls at real time speed before leaving the monitor.
still a red in real time speed though tbf
It’s a red card offence by the rules, but there is literally nothing he could’ve done differently, just extremely unfortunate outcome. It’s not even a dangerous play, it’s him planting his foot down as he is shielding the ball, the play itself is made 100 times a game.
I see so many people here say intent doesn’t matter, and maybe it doesn’t, but shouldn’t it?
Basically same incident as Curtis Jones red card against Spurs, never a red, but I wonder if Man United fans who called Curtis' red card as stonewall red card stayed consistent and called this one a stonewall red card too.
What I don't understand is, how come they can go back after the play (that went to Hojlund's shot) continued here, when they couldn't for the VAR fiasco from Diaz's (not-)goal?
At most this is a yellow
10hag bringing best out of Trashford
Holy shit. At first I thought the challenge on #30 was the red but that actual red is worse. Doesn't seem intentional in the slightest and might look worse slowed down but Rashford seriously could have broken his ankle
Thats not a red. Unfortunate play as hes just trying to shield
That’s fucking horrific. That’s questionable if it’s even a foul let alone a card. If I was ETH I would’ve accused the refs of cheating straight up and copped the fine. That’s ludicrous and exactly the sort of thing VAR is meant to prevent. All time howler here.
Never a red
Just when you think r/soccer can't have worse opinions than they had after the Newcastle Arsenal game, they come out saying that this wasn't a red card.
The reasoning they put behind this opinion is equally hilarious
Had no idea it happened, Clear as day
Refs got zero ball knowledge.
It was the right decision he’s out of control and could’ve easily broke his leg
Fuck VAR
united actually needs to put out a statement
Complete bs, clearly looking at the ball.
VAR is a farce
He's shielding the ball man, fully accidental.
Went from a straight forward game to spicy just like that
There’s the bullshit call we all knew was coming.
Ah yes, looks like we've got our clown car back on the road.
Definite red though
SO FUCKING STUPID. Tried to make himself big, fuck off
This basically happened to Marcelo. Completely innocent move but with horrible results. It's a red.
we can all see what he's trying, he messes it up and contacts the player, its unlucky but a red by the rules.
2-0 up? "Time to take matters in our own hands fellas!" - Rashford
How the fuck do these refs continue to have jobs/these games, its actually fucking mind-boggling. Unreal - hopefully can appeal.
Never intentional, never a red
Things were finally looking up for United and then he goes and does this...
Ten Hag must be fuming
Straight red. Absolute correct there.
Unfortunate but definitely a red.
nah that's a yellow imo, tried to shield the ball, no intention and unlucky af
Tried to protect the ball and completely missed. Horrible contact with his leg. Clear red
Not in a million years.
I know the contacts ended up being bad but there’s no intent and it wasn’t reckless or anything. Feels harsh
That’s very harsh
But Romero can play basketball against us and it isn't hand ball, embarrassing.
We were actually playing well as well, just let me enjoy football once please 😭
Unintentional and unlucky, but the correct call.
Lads we can start party a bit earlier
Bad luck, he's trying to step across to shield the ball but got it wrong. Red the correct call even if there's no intent
Yeah that’s a red, Rashford did not need to stretch out that far there
The officials are desperate for Copenhagen to win this match
