Seiko here. The Presage fits nicely on a women's wrist while I found the PRX to be a bit clunky around the lugs. Not a fan of gold watches myself but it all comes down to skin tone so good it is.

I think I had 3 links taken out of my SARB035 and the fit on my Presage is nearly identical.

I have a feeling that seiko looks fantastic in person. Personally opinion but I'd go for the seiko. I also think the Tissot is a little less feminine especially at 40mm.

Not with the gold waffe dial I believe?

I'd go for that prx. Really the only good gold plated watch in that price range. Pretty much perfect for what you want.

I vote for the Seiko!

Both are solid watches, but I personally didn’t like the prx after trying it on. The raised edge felt really high and out of place for me, but of course that’s just a preference.

Be careful tho, I dont think you'll get gold plated on any of these watches !

The PRX is a PVD yellow gold finish but does not contain any gold what so ever. Pretty sure it's the same for the Seiko. I'm afraid the end result will not have a jewelry look that you seem to be after. Also note that the PVD is only coated and can result with some pretty choppy patina.

With that in mind I would probably steer my choice towards stainless steel options tho I'm not expert enough to recommend any interesting options.

I have an srpc44 in my collection that's 5 years old. I've worn it quite a bit and the pvd still looks pristine, even between the lugs where I've installed a strapcode bracelet about half the time I've worn it. Just anecdotal evidence but seiko seems to do a great job on their gold tones

never loved the 36mm prx. I feel like the more rounded rectangular shape of it just makes it feel less unique compared to the genuinely hard looking 40mm one. Always thought that and was confirmed once i saw them in person.

I have the prx and im very happy. The gold color looks Nice in person and the finish is a lot better than on the quartz. The dial really elevates it.

The bracelet feels flimsy but it has a Nice light wear. Its also a bit expensive i think.

To me the size and fit is perfect, though i am a pretty average sized man so dont know about fit complaints on smaller wrists.

I recommend it!

I have a PRX 35mm and love it, though it’s not the gold one and I’m not sure how that one looks in person - in this photo, I like it. I’m not sure how the Seiko looks in person either, but based on the photo, I don’t personally love the aged effect on the dial.

Unless your partner wants to be surprised, it might be good to just select a few options and then take her to try them on? I really like to see how watches look on before committing.

For the ladies?? Bro I want one of those

I’m currently looking at the same 2 watches for myself, and would love to see recommendations for others (loved the gold watch that J. Anniston wears in The Morning Show)

The Seiko. I don’t wear gold, but I am very fond of Seiko’s look and comfort. My wrists are small-ish at 165mm and I wear watches 28-36mm. Any bigger than 36mm and it starts looking comically childish on me. (And 36mm is pushing the limit on me.)

These two are very different styles, so think about how she likes to dress. Classic and timeless? Wool, linen, silk? Irish fisherman sweater and faded jeans?Go with the Seiko. Trendy and edgy? Modal, polyester, tencel? Patagonia Techface and Lululemon leggings? The Tissot.

I think she’s the one who will need to make the choice. Can you arrange to have her try both? I know it sort of ruins the surprise, but you have narrowed it down to two which is serious work!
