It feels like Harden may have fumbled hard by not taking the extension the Nets offered him. His numbers could come down a bit this season due to sharing the ball with WB, PG, and Kawhi. What contract offers do you think he’ll be getting during the summer?

Mid-level in the NBA or the max in China. So the China max, probably.

Which teams have cap space and dumb front offices?

Morey will offer him the max

he didn't "fumble" it, he just didn't want it. same way he didn't want the one Houston offered him to try and get him to stay, and same way he didn't force Philly to pay up right away and instead gave them a discount. harden has a lot of income from other sources; the difference between the max possible he could get from an nba team and what he'd be happy giving them for a good fit isn't something he's that concerned about. if anything, it's about the years so he can end his career somewhere (probably why that was a talking point for him about philly). he's from LA, he can move his mom (who is sick) out here, etc.

he's trying to find the right basketball situation. it was reported he was willing to give morey a deal if he actually negotiated with him instead of ghosting him.

I highly doubt Morey is such a good boy that he obeyed the rule and ghosted Harden….

He could easily remain a Clipper and get a good salary on a short term deal. Because even if this season ends on a sour note with Kawhi and/or PG ready to leave town, there is no way Ballmer is opening his new arena next year without having at least one big name on the roster.

He would be so good in that league lol. Jimmer couldn’t get NBA minutes and averaged 39 one season there.

Around 10-15mil 🤔 realistically, but he could get more if his play improves. Only thing I still can't get over is how harden really left a team that was perfect for his abilities. Philly was perfect for him. I hate he ruined the clippers too.

Id say 2+1 with a player option for a comparable amount of money that he makes right now. Mid 30 million-ish

20 Million Chinese Yuan

How long does it take for him to ask for a trade before or after signing it?

Kyrie got a 3 year 120 million so Harden will probably get a little higher than that for a four year contract and that'll be his last big pay day.

[–] LongSleeveSteeve@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Kyrie is significantly better than Harden at this point.

1 +1 (team option) near max for rest of his career.

I don’t think the nets have anything to do with his current contract situation. I believe he was probably promised a max by the Sixers for taking a pay cut to get house and Tucker. Makes the most sense and then they didn’t want to pay it or pay the luxury tax.
