To be fair, they learned it from our code.

Coder makes loud noises, waves its arms in the air, then throws its own feces at the crowd

Personally I'm more in the "oh yes please take my job as a programmer" mindset, yet none of the currently available tools seem to be anywhere near capable of it.

When they do, I guess I'll just translate the b.s. customers spit into something that's even humanly readable, just merely distilling the intent often isn't enough. Also A.I. needs to 'learn' to say no, because even though the customer asks for something, doesn't mean they actually want to have the result of their question.

Exactly. It's not even capable of properly doing web development, imagine trying to use it to target environment requiring absolute optimisation... Or even just video games.

It seems to me like there's a lot of talk in the vein of "AI will never be able to meaningfully replace humans at [Task X]," and not enough talk about what we should do to prepare for the possibility of AI replacing humans at those tasks.

Like, right now, AI can create shitty art and write shitty code, but are we prepared for what happens if and when it can do those things well? We've got to acknowledge that human lives have inherent value, and not just because they can do things that machines can't.

Karl Marx said if rich people own the technology that does more work, the rich people will get the profits and the workers will starve.

The difference between AI and Coder:

The Coder fixes it's errors. AI is just pretending everything would just run fine.

Ai has the sigma grindset. Fake it till you make it (but most probably crash and burn without handholding) lmao

Corn? No. Corn nuts? Absolutely, sign me up.
