Apologies if this has been posted many times before, but I was lucky enough to get UCL tix for our game against Copenhagen. I will be traveling from the US and it will be my first time at the Allianz. Will there be any activities around the arena before the game? Any tips I should know for my first trip to the Allianz? Mia san mia!

Go extra early as the lines through the gates can back up in my experience. Maybe it got improved but I went to a CL game (against Spurs) in 2019 and the lines were unusually long and they didn’t have enough people to check women which lead to men (myseld included) waiting on the other end for their wives/gfs, causing even more backup and chaos. I would have been super disappointed to miss the CL anthem on the field but luckily we just made it. I still go back and watch those videos I took.

Other than that, it was a pretty regular stadium going experience. Louder, busier and higher energy than a regular game at the Allianz but also not that different. Enjoy the day!!

Same here, I’m from the US and will be over for the Copenhagen game! From my past experience, I’ll clue you into the transport situation to and from the match. I’ll presume you’ll be taking the U-Bahn, and if so, just be prepared for packed trains to and from the game. I’m talking standing room squeezed in like sardines packed. The walk from the U-Bahn station closest to the Arena (Frottmaning) is a bit far, 10-15 minute maybe. And the lines for the ride back into the city after the game were probably 45 mins to an hour when I was there last. If you’re able, as soon as the final whistle blows and are so inclined, haul ass out and beat as many people to the lines as you can.

How about lingering at the stadium for a while after the game before heading back?

Hi i am from munich and maybe i can help you a bit.

Since match day is at the 29th, taking pictures of the classic Marienplatz is a bit hard, since the christmas market is opened 2 days before. If you like christmas, go eat some gingerbread or drink some hot wine there. But be aware of pickpockets.

Take the U6 to frötmanning to get to the Stadium, the metro is very crowded and hot, so maybe undress a bit before going in. It is btw very Hard to not get the right metro from the marienplatz since it is the Station where most fans enter the metro.

You will find alkohol in every normal supermarket, try to avoid Aldi or penny for beer (they only sell bad beer) go to Edeka or rewe. If you want to drink good beer i can recommend "Augustiner" or "tegernseer". And if you dont like beer or want something sugary defenetly try "paulaner spezi". Spezi and beer are 2 drinks famous for Bavaria

Go to the fcbayern museum but try to avoid it on match day.

Some Tips for Germany I think can be useful. -Prices in supermarket have tax is included -Drinks in supermarkets costs because of the Pfandsystem up to 25 Cents more than labled -Do not throw away Bottles or cans, but place it next to the trash bin because of the Pfand system -You can drink in public -Smoking at the seats is not allowed but if you want to, go inside there it is tolerated. -Do not be afraid to talk to people, I had a lot of nice conversations with people not from germany.

  1. Of course try to Support the Team as much as you are able to. Cheer for every good action etc.
