Doku have me feeling like the food critique guy from ratatouille, remembering his childhood with Hazard

My 16 year old king has a higher percentage than Leao, Kvara, Sane 😭

Why is JoΓ£o Mario with the Porto badge?

[–] theitchcockblock@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It’s the good joao mario not the bad one

[–] BrotherSeamus@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lang still there despite missing both PSV's matches against Lens.

16 year old Lamine Yamal in the list πŸ˜…

Pretty sure 90% of Martinelli's dribbles are from just yesterday

[–] Nordie27@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Great idea from our coach to rest Navas and play a youngster against Martinelli

[–] RBT__@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

He also missed first 2 games, tbf.

Impressive from joao mario

10 dribbles per 90 must be because of the limited minutes he played, that's a crazy number

[–] Grooveh_Baby@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It is yeah, these tables without a minimum number of minutes played or just listing the amount of minutes are awful

[–] DrJethro@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It's also because he completed a fuckton of them.

Pep really turned Grealish into a pass back merchant and then signed Doku and let him do what Grealish was actually good at 😭

[–] haziola@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Grealish isn't very good at 1v1 dribbles though. He doesn't have the burst of pace or skills for that in small spaces. Only with lots of space on the counter but City play against parked busses all the time. For that you need a dribbler who is very high level in 1v1s in small spaces, and no one in the world is better at that than Doku. So Pep uses Grealish in that advanced wing position to keep the ball and attract multiple defenders to create space behind those players.

Vini and Mbappe easily.

[–] BGRG93@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Grealish cooked every full back in the prem 1v1 to the point they just had to rugby tackle him to the ground when he was at Villa, fuck are you smoking to say he isn't good at 1v1 dribbling lmao

[–] infidel11990@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Grealish is still trusted in big games where Pep wants more control. Reducing his influence to just passing back is reductive. He was instrumental in City's success in CL last year. Especially with his passing and pressing.

Doku has raw talent but doesn't have Grealish's consistency or game management skills yet.

Yamal is super impressive because he does it from the touchline without using much pace and while avoiding contact most of the time. He’ll be incredible once he gets more comfortable getting physical with defenders.

[–] Hellsinger7@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

16 year old Yamal has more success in dribbles than MbappΓ©, well damn!

[–] NoWitness3109@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I forget Doku is still 20 y.o. What a freakin signing for City. And it's rare for new City players immediately click into team and fits the system in Year 1.

[–] Noa_Lang@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I'm sure that it Kvara and Leao played for City against Young Boys, Red Star, and Leipzig they'd have that many dribbles too.
