This will go over well
NFL
A place for NFL news, game highlights and everything that excites you about American Football.
but I have never EVER seen this happen in the NFL
2018 NFC Championship was miles worse
Why don't the other teams just write bigger checks to the refs then us? Shits simple
Rigged allegations lmao
Eh, refs just suck a lot. You see bad calls on both sides but it's only "rigged" against whoever gets called last. I don't think there's a bigger conspiracy afoot.
Yeah this was bullshit, but not the reason we lost.
Weird sequence but thinking it’s rigged is dumb
I still don’t understand what happened here
Anyone who watched the Eagles Cowboys game last Sunday saw it to. The Eagles have got lots of ref calls this season.. The Miami game being another case of that.
The NFL is so obvious with their biases at times, it's crazy
Dude let it go. The bengals had the ball, tie game, with less than a minute to go and couldn’t get in FG range
I mean, the fact is if they were going to rig a game they would have just called a penalty on the original 3rd down
They wouldn't make it an entire/obvious production
Why TF would the NFL rig the game for the Chiefs? That's always been so stupid to me. The NFL and particularly the Super Bowl are always gonna get ridiculous ratings no matter who's on. And it's not like The Bengals are an unpopular team or anything right now. It serves no purpose to them. People who believe this stuff is rigged invest too much mental energy into gambling.
Very weird sequence of events sure, but the ref was trying to blow the play dead before the Chiefs snapped the ball so I think it's fair enough.
Also worth noting, the Chiefs ended up punting from the exact place they would have had the original 3rd down stood. To the exact yard.
When people produce emails, text messages, or recorded conversations between officials whoever is "rigging" games, then I'll maybe pay attention.
this one of those things where no one knew what the hell was happening and then people immediately jumped to "rigged" and refused to change their minds when it was explained what happened.
a few minutes later on the same broadcast they clearly showed one of the refs coming in from the seconary blowing the play dead before the ball was snapped. thats it, the play didnt count. there was no extra play.
If this was r/CFB I would say the Chiefs just got Piano Finger Banged
Or maybe the boy wonder Burrow should have manned up and beaten a hobbled playing at 30% Mahomes
I'm still of the opinion Bengals should have been at Super Bowl. I remember being oddly disgusted with that game.
I'm just going to throw out that Big Ben rushing TD in super bowl XL for consideration.
Lol I thought that fucking idiot u/nfl posted this
Remember the 2021 playoffs when the refs blew the play dead, Burrow threw a pass after the whistle, and they counted the TD anyway?
Imagine if this happened in favor of KC lmao it'd be posted once a month
What people apparently don’t remember is that we punted the ball anyway on literally the next set of downs and this “outrage” did not actually impact the game at all
Whenever the idea of rigged games comes up, I point to the almost 30 years of the Cowboys not making the Super Bowl. If there is any franchise the networks and the league would want to see in the big game from a ratings standpoint, it is the Dallas Cowboys. Yet despite the Cowboys’ success in getting into the playoffs many times over that period, the powers that be never rigged it for them to make it to the Super Bowl. Doesn’t make sense to me. Unless the games aren’t rigged.
We talking about rigged games?
