$23?! Jesus.

[–] ephemeralfugitive@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Normal folks just have someone write a book about them or film a movie. A biography or autobiography.

Man’s going the next level with a whole ass museum 😤

“Imagine being able to be magically whisked away to (Akron).”

“Hi, I’m in (Akron).

Is it still called a museum if it’s a for profit self promotion?

Now their economy literally can be based on LeBron James

House Three Thirty

Are we sure this guy even lived here? Absolutely nobody says 'Three Thirty' to reference the area code. Never heard it said without it being the full 'three three zero'.

Guy doesn't even talk like he's from this area, and is out here doing his best 'how do you do, fellow kids?!'

Is he gonna commission a statue of himself as well? /s

People will pay the money and I think it might help Akron get more visitors.

If I wanted to this blow hard go on about himself, I’d turn on the television.

[–] BigRiverWharfRat@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Wonder if there’s tax on that $23

[–] zetcetera@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Will Lebron’s Skims be on display?

[–] tsmi196@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

LePriceofadmission is $23

[–] 416_Ghost@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You see...lebron has done a good job to stay out of trouble in his career and its hard to see why people don't like him

Then he does shit like this, and it's easy to see why people don't like him.

[–] Necessary-Waltz6983@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Idk whether to think if this is just cringe or hilarious. Usually there are centers, museums usually dedicated to former influential presidents and or politicians. Ex Regan, Barry Goldwater. But a whole museum dedicated to a basketball player created by the player himself.

It’s a little early in his lifetime for that sort of a venue isn’t it? Louisville has a museum devoted to Muhammad Ali but they didn’t open that until he was an old man.

[–] Anim8nFool@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

For almost his entire career he has been an asshat. This is just the latest evidence.

[–] OlTommyBombadil@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Yo make it $6. $23 is borderline satirical

[–] HearingNo3981@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I'm a LeBron fan and an Akron native.. and let me tell you, if I was in Akron, I'd spend $23 to drive to Cleveland and go to the Cleveland Art Museum that has free entry before I would pay to see this. Then, I'd sit in the Cafe there and Google every fact about LeBron and his milestones.

This is egotistical kinda

[–] Ornery_Alligators@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

$6 seems more appropriate.

[–] FewerToysHigherWages@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

You know what would actually be worth visiting? A museum dedicated to BASKETBALL. I'd pay to go to something like that.

[–] Treehouse326@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

LeBron is a damn narcissist. He’s opening a museum of himself while he’s playing. “Please look at how great I am”.

[–] KayRay1994@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

major missed opportunity. Should’ve opened in Nov. 23

[–] nom_de_chomsky@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

LeBron James will be opening a museum dedicated to LeBron James in his hometown of LeBron, James (formerly Akron, Ohio).

[–] unlmtdLoL@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Charging period for a museum in your name sounds crazy.

[–] MeanKareem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

People will talk all shit in the world but this is an attraction for Akron who’s only claim to fame is Lebron anyways.. great for tourism

[–] Welcm2goodburger@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Nice of him to honor Jordan with the admission price.

[–] DotReady8834@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He's already got that school which is a giant shrine to himself. It has no students who can actually read but 300 pairs of Lebron sneakers in a big display.

[–] BowTie1989@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

And then people wonder why lebron has haters. Of course I don’t know the guy, but it does seem like he chase after attention. But who cares what I think lol

[–] YakkoWarnerPR@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Shoulda charged $6 smh think about the children in Akron

[–] loveissuicide10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hes way better than Michael Jordan. I agree he should have his own museum. Hes the greatest of all time.

[–] Mthead23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

It doesn’t matter what he does, nobody will ever see 23 and think LeBron…

[–] LardHop@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Okay, this is actually cringe to be personally opening it yourself, but whatever.

[–] MuelDaddyLongLegs@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

What a humble guy.

[–] ratedpending@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

has to be $6.23 or something wtf 😭
