This was in response to a picture of KD and Lebron laughing together after the game, but also this tweet that said MJ was the GOAT because he “simply killed EVERYONE IN SIGHT”.

Shaq and Kobe lost a final, Bryant and Gasol lost one should have been 2 if Ray Allen doesn't shit the bed game 7. Competitiveness and killer instinct get you nothing if the other team out executes you. Or teammates don't make key sometimes clutch plays. This shit aint golf and tennis, one man does not win a championship in the 3 major sports.

I’m sorry KD I have friends and we aren’t pro athletes, but we compete hard against each other.

Just like he thought we didn’t know what a hezzy pull up Jimbo was. We aren’t dumb, KD.

Hasn’t KD & LeGM dodged playing each other for like 8 years

[–] boomshiz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At some point KD is going to have stop catching feelings from comments. Bro is constantly acting like the Internet stood him up on prom night.

[–] lVloogie@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

KD never played Super Smash Bros in his life.

[–] coldviper18@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I don't think you need to be an athlete to know this. It's the same as with siblings. You'll fight to the death, but you still love each other.

[–] jlewi2411@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Okay but if you have true hatred towards somebody, that brings out a competitive fire like none other.

Honestly, I prefer my stars like Giannis. Not sure why you'd want to be friends with the guy standing in your way of greatness. It's ok to have friends at your job just so long as you both aren't competing for the same thing.

It’s not. If you literally hate someone then you go at them harder than your best friend. I think MJ only really hated Isiah though. He was a dick to people but I doubt he hated them.

Cupcakes Drant

[–] spaldingnoooo@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

yeah, that's why the ASG is so competitive now Kevin...

This is 100% true IMO... I was best friends with a guy growing up that ended in our State basketball high school HoF and we used to play free throw with some other guys and go 1 on 1 for hours ever day. In hindsight I wasn't near as good of a player as he was, but was a really good defender so he was basically using me for practice. We went hard at each other and almost threw down multiple times, but it was just because we were both competitive as hell, and we'd always laugh about it the next day.

Some people that work in the media are just trying to make a buck. They say the stupidest thing and these athletes are so dumb that they fell for it.

[–] OtherShade@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Rivalries among friends will always hit the hardest. You're with those people almost every day and they're gonna remind you every chance they get.

[–] SideOfHashBrowns@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Idk different things work for different people?

[–] callunu95@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I never played top level anything, but the hardest I ever competed at any sport was against my closest friend. We used to fight in training, take cheapshots. Nobody made me try harder than those closest to me.

[–] LeftLane4PassingOnly@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

At some point, yall athletes are gon realize that fans don't really like to be talked down to.

[–] StefonDiggsHS@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I feel like KD is talking to ghosts here. I think this is obvious to most fans...

[–] EmotionalEagles@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

MJ is just different. When MJ lost to the Pistons he didn’t join them next season he went to the gym and then beat them.

[–] ChiefHunter1@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Actually true. I have a way better recollection of games where I popped off vs friends than with random strangers. And you can’t live down bad games vs friends. They’ll bring that shit up later lol

[–] BKtoDuval@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I agree. I wanna beat my friends and siblings more than someone I have no relationship with.

[–] OldmanJeeeennnnkins@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Kd is a snake bitch that ran off to a team that put up 70+ wins and that’s all most will ever remember him by.

[–] uptown-hippy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That’s the truth.

[–] aiirxgeordan@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I’m not an athlete so I can’t really dispute his opinion, but I, and Westbrook, subscribe to the “no friends on the court” idea as a competitor

[–] munchanything@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Didn't understand it when I was a kid, but Sam the Sheepdog and Ralph Wolf is applicable. Clock in, clock out, live your life.

[–] Ghoti76@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

callin dudes soft for being friendly after a game where both dropped 30 is crazy lmao. like clearly they're not taking it easy on each other, it's called being a professional. old heads and trolls be like "if you not spitting on your opponents' mom's grave then you're soft and this whole generation is cooked"

[–] itsahmemario@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

MJ is the GOAT but it's kinda crazy people can still question LeBron's killer instinct/mentality.

[–] fortesquieu@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

That's why our fantasy league is so competitive
