Is there a watch you bought, sold, then re-bought because you realized you absolutely needed it after all?

Thinking about it with both the Khaki field and the Hemel air wing. Manual winds are my favorite watches, I still don’t know why I sold the two that I wore the most.

Same with the khaki field, sold it and missed it. Picked up the new expedition to fill that void and it’s doing a pretty good job lol

I sold a Timex weekender and ended up purchasing a dressier looking Timex easy reader of very similar spec

YM (4) , DJ (6), AK (3), Speedy reduced (4), Breguet Type XX(3), Patek 3919 (3).

It's a hobby for sure.

Yes. Seiko Recraft UFO SRPC13K. I got one the first time and it was fantastic and I loved it and wore it semi-regularly but realized it was too loud for my taste. So I sold it. I saw one pop up on WEX another a year or two later and missed how awesome that watch was and wore it exactly twice, because it was still too loud for me.

IWC Mark. First had the 18, later bought the 15. Not really the same, but close :)

Similar to me, had the XV, sold and regretted so found another XV. Now it's never leaving my ownership again haha

Yes, all Seikos. Two divers I bought, sold, repurchased and ultimately sold again, deciding they were not for me. One was the SKX007, the other was a first generation monster. Two other Seiko watches I bought, sold, bought again and finally kept are the SNJX89 and a chronograph, the SNDC81. I also went through this with the black dial dress watch they called the “$50 watch that looks like a million bucks” but I can’t remember its model number. It was not for me either. Too small looking for me.

I'm working on getting a Farer Cayley Verde back. I sold it and two others when i needed an extra $2000 to get a great deal on a Speedmaster 321... now that it's gone I miss seeing it. It always brought a smile to my face and was unique in so many ways.

Really great watch.

I went though 3 Panerai’s (104, 000 then 111) because I just wasn’t happy with the previous one for some reason or another.

Polar Explorer II. Convinced myself I wanted a BLNR GMT, wore it for a while and realized it didn’t jive with my lifestyle. Sold the GMT recently to rebuy an Explorer.

I now find myself looking at GMTs online and and thinking “Damn, I wouldn’t mind having one of those again…”

Speedmaster, 3 times(5 if we count the reduced) and I let it go in the end. I really like the heritage and the design, but it hasn't fit well into the my overall collection. I keep telling myself 3rd try is enough, and it's just not meant to be. But I might back out on that sentiment eventually.

This probably doesn't count, but I bought Planet Ocean 3 times as well. BUT it was all different generation or size. I've settled on the last gen 42mm model and completely happy with this one. Took three tries to get the perfect one, and it's here to stay.

Hamilton khaki field, bought and sold twice now. Theres just better field watches and the swatch group has taken all the fun out of the brand.

Suunto Ambit peak 3 Nepal edition. I lost my first, bought another the charger broke, so I bought a charger that came with one. Recently, I gave one away, but I couldn't give the other away even though I use a garmin fenix 7x pro solar as my workout watch now. The Suunto model just has too many memories attached. Military promotions, athletic accolades, hikes, and first apartment, i also met my wife for the first time while wearing it. I didn't exactly sell it. But if I lost my only remaining copy again, I'd buy another in a second.
