No, these refurbished Dell servers that use all compatible hardware (Dell, Intel). I just thought it was interesting that resetting the iDRAC solved the fan RPM. All I've plugged in to the servers are brand new Seagate Exos 18TB drives. Nothing else. I'm using Dell SD cards and a compatible USB device to boot from, but there were no fan RPM increases until I added the drives.
I'm not posting because I have a problem, but because this might be a solution to homelab fan RPMs.
