Did this in a game of pickup once and the other team started freaking out saying it was a travel because I supposedly passed it to myself. Ended up shooting for it and making the shot. Love seeing this sort of big brain play.

So, if I'm dribbling along and stop, I can't resume dribbling since that would be a double dribble. However, if I bounce the ball off an opponent, can I resume dribbling? Also, do I get credit for a steal?
