Beyer DT990 Edition (250 Ohms)
impeccable build quality, ultra comfy, great clarity, nice bass for open backs..
and at that price, they are just a steal. (I paid 150 USD brand spanking new 6 years ago and have used them almost exclusively while working)
Many jokesters in this thread. In all seriousness, I would suggest either the Focal Bathys or the Airpods Max if you want a nice Bluetooth set with active noise cancellation. It’s not the best sound you can get for that amount of money, but the best wound won’t be wireless nor will it have ANC.
Asking me this is like asking a parent which of their children is their favorite. :-D
I think the best general pair of headphones might be the Focal Bathys, because they’re excellent BT headphones, but even better when plugged in, plus they have just enough features.
After that, the QC45 (Comfort, sound), Momentum 4 (sound, features), and AirPods Max (Comfort, features).

Rule 2: Ask purchase and shopping questions in the Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk
Requests for product opinions, comparisons, and general purchase advice must be made in the dedicated Shopping, Setup, and Technical Help Desk instead of a new post.

What questions are considered purchase advice?
-
A request for product suggestions, comparison requests, or opinion requests fall under the purchase advice rule. These can often be found by searching first.
-
Any suggestion or comparison request pertaining to headphones, IEMs, DACs, amps, or other accessories should be directed to the purchase help thread or r/headphoneadvice.
-
Asking the subreddit to help make a decision to buy a product does fall under this rule (e.g. "should I get dekoni pads for my HD650?").
Why does this rule even exist?
-
In short, this is a large subreddit with a high volume. We want to help, but it's important to keep things organized to keep the sub fun. Thanks for your understanding.
