how is it only 16?!?!?! who the nazi fuck still sees a Tesla and says, "now that's a company I should get behind."

I agree it is surprisingly low. I do wonder how many red hats bought one when Elon and Trump were still dating?

Certainly not smart ones. I've heard nothing actually good about these cars, except that they helped popularise electric cars

[–] neukenindekeuken@sh.itjust.works 8 points 21 hours ago

It takes time for these things to play out. Its a lagging metric.

People that live in a car centric country where you cant go anywhere without one and can't afford a new car just yet. I have a relatively new car and relatively doing well financially, but if I had to buy a new car immediately I'd probably be fucked for the rest of the year. And the fact that the resale market for Tesla is probably not that great right now you won't get much money back by selling it. I am seeing a lot of Teslas with the logo taken off, though.

That is very low.

YoY declines need to hit 60-70% or more. Even they 50% decline in European countries should be higher.

Even by the low standards of American oligarchy, Musk is a terrible individual.

Insane that it's still 40k registrations.

Tesla hasn't even made half of Musk's payout in its lifetime... Its basically gamestop stock. Company's performance is irrelevant.

Oh I know, the irony. Most of his money is coming from defense contracts, which is even more funnier he is poking that bear.

Which is why he belly-crawled, then disappeared.

https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/car-registrations

If the data there is accurate, overall registrations dropped by 14.4% meaning Tesla did better than the industry average.

Total EV registrations fell 4.4%. Tesla fell 16%.
