A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I am running R7 with EF 10-18mm, Godox V850II which has all been working fine. Purchased an x pro transmitter today and I can get the x pro to trigger the flash by the transmitter lightning button but when I attempt to press the shutter to snap a photo the flash does not trigger.

The flash is connected to the same group and channel and it is set to slave. The camera is set to EFCS.

Am I missing something simple?

There is a red light on the X Pro that flashes briefly when the shutter is triggered. See if its flashing. That should at least tell you if the problem is between the camera and trigger connection

I do not see any red light on the trigger I will send a photo of the flash in the next comment. Limited to 1 per comment

Do you have the correct XPro for your model camera?
