According to Spotrac, Green has received 18 ejections since he entered the NBA back in 2012. When it comes to the first seven ejections of his career, Green was tossed from games in which Curry was actively playing.

The first instance in which Green was ejected while Curry was inactive came on Nov. 11, 2019. Curry was dealing with a broken hand at the time. Green ended up receiving a pair of technical fouls during that contest. Ironically enough, that game came against Gobert when he was a member of the Utah Jazz.

Following that incident, Green's next four ejections came in games in which Curry wasn't playing. Green was also ejected on Jan. 4, 2020 (vs. the Pistons), Feb. 27, 2020 (vs. the Lakers), Feb. 20, 2021 (vs. the Hornets), March 20, 2022 (vs. the Spurs), and Jan. 4, 2023 (vs. the Pistons). If you count Green's ejection on Tuesday, seven of his last 11 ejections took place in games that Curry wasn't playing in.

[–] Nykeeo@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

according to the in season tournament ad,
Green was supposed to be the one "not afraid to do the dirty job".
the scrip was clear, no surprise

I think this is just a coincidence.

[–] musicnothing@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The options I can see:

  1. Coincidence

  2. Draymond doesn't want to play without Steph

  3. Steph in a jersey is the calming force that keeps Draymond's anger from reaching critical mass

  4. Draymond is in love with Steph and gets ejected as part of an elaborate mating ritual

I'm leaning towards number 2 but I wouldn't take 4 off the table

Nobody should forget that 2019-20 season when Klay and Curry were injured, great leader Draymond literally quit on the season/team playing only 43 games that year. He even admits it later the following year saying he wasn't interested in playing because Steph and Klay weren't there.

Future HoFer Draymond right there.

[–] Los_Ingobernablez@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

All that to draft James Wiseman

[–] bigbenis2021@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I feel like “six of his last ten” would have been a better term. Seven of his last eleven does nothing for me.

[–] musicnothing@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

"Six of his last ten and also the one right before that"

If Dray ever goes to TNT. That will be the last I ever watch that show.

[–] Saucy_Totchie@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Dray would bail on the show if Ernie ever took a day off lol.

This sub loves jerking off the physical era of the 90s and the bad boy pistons but when it comes to draymond everyone loses their shit.

[–] ZeekLTK@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Why would you not count Tuesday? Who is making these headlines? lol

[–] AMorder0517@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Rudy was spittin facts.

[–] RyyKarsch@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Dodging that smoke.

[–] domolalala@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Now I'm curious for the reasons he got ejected, was it as purposefully as this one?

[–] menusettingsgeneral@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That is such losing behavior. Dude consistently ducks out when Steph isn’t on the court and I’m sick of it. Dude needs to stick with his team especially when the best player isn’t playing.

[–] SaveADay89@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I don't mind him doing this, but then he needs to be called out. The media treats this dude like he's legit an all time great player when he's really just a glorified role player.

[–] potionmine@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Was there Warrior game without Steph but Green wasn’t ejected thou?

[–] BodegaDaddy@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

juicier by the day

[–] StuffLeft6116@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Bitch made.

This is amazing. It probably isnt true that dray tries to get thrown out but now he has to make sure he gets throw out when curry IS playing. He has to plan his next 3 ejections to happen when curry is on the court.

[–] CunningAndRunning@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Draymond Green is the most overrated player in NBA history. Replace him with Matt Barnes, Danny Green, Nicolas Batum, Robert Covington, Etc. and the warriors still have the same historic success. Dude is a walking single-single. The biggest bus rider of all time.

He is also one of the dirtiest players in NBA history. He punched his own teammates, kicks people nuts like they are piñatas, and gouges eyeballs. Now he is rear naked choking people on the court? The fact he hasn’t been severely punished is shocking enough. The fact that people act like Draymond is more than a role player is equally as shocking.

Draymond is a disgrace to the game of basketball and the NBA.

[–] Greatcouchtomato@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Curry really made this man a HOF

[–] ktdotnova@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

On a team without generational shooters on them and an MVP candidate in Curry, Green is pretty much useless. Anyone can make reads out of a double playing 4 on 3...

[–] petegasfan97@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

We need timestamps for the ejections.

What a pussehhh

[–] Kvsav57@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I know this latest one happened really early on but is there also a correlation with whether the Warriors were losing by a lot? I mean, as much as people hate Draymond, I would think the frustration of losing big would be more likely to motivate him to get ejections.

[–] Rad1314@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Why wouldn't you count yesterday? What an odd point for Bengel to start with.

[–] DresserRotation@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Okay, and what if you don’t count it? Can someone do the math?

[–] Huge-Split6250@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Dray must be good at dodgeball with all this ducking

[–] Dubonthetrac@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Coincidence

[–] __sonder__@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Might as well be screaming "I AM A SYSTEM PLAYER" by acting this way.

Cuz you know who else hates playing without Curry?

Everyone. Every basketball player in the world would prefer to have Curry on the court with them. Grow up you big baby.

[–] porkadachop@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Chump, running from the grind.

[–] DLoadingKeanu@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He knows that if he consistently plays without Steph he'll get exposed for how useless and not worth his contract he is

[–] tbone183@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

He's trying to get the rest of the team fired up guys ! lol

[–] stumo11@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So games his team needs him to step up and play a bigger role than usual. Instead hits the showers early, sounds like draymond.

[–] AthosTheMusketeer29@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Isn't 2019 the season Draymond talks about on JJ Reddicks podcast about it being tough to go out and play meaningless games? I can definitely see him trying to get himself ejected if that's the case

[–] Greaves624@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

So at what point do teams start resting their stars against GSW?

Who would have known that the whole GSW org is a bunch of bus riders on the Curry Express

[–] waner21@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Is Curry akin to an emotional support animal for Draymond?

[–] Frickenbat@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

You guys are really milking this circle jerk 😂
