Falling to an 0-3 record in West Group A with their blowout loss to the Lakers tonight, the Grizzlies are unable to finish equal on record to the Jazz or Lakers, and are thereby mathematically prevented from advancing out of the Group Stage. This makes them the first team eliminated in the history of NBA In-Season Tournament play.

League sources say that the Grizzlies “will not be brought back” into the tournament “under any circumstances”.

I feel like the schedule should have been every team plays at the same rate, make it a Fri/Sat/Sun thing all 30 teams play, 5 games a night, maybe not consecutive but like a 90 minute stagger, do it every other weekend. So much about this feels poorly done
