It's because he did that to a French guy. Americans are hypocrites, can't hide that.
NBA - Main
Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
and the French aren't.
You can tell by the fact everybody refers to it as a headlock instead of a chokehold.
Yeah because they’re not Reddit nerds that have never been part of the real world
Draymond is a lightning rod, and these talking heads know that taking his defense will drive engagement.
It’s fucking depressing that this is so much of our media these days, but that’s just how it is with the SAS’s and Skip’s of the world.
Everything I’ve learned about this show has been against my will.
As an aside - Richard Sherman can’t really believe this, can he? Like he’s playing a bit, right?
The older you get, the less you care what the media says. It was unsportsman-like and he'll get some time off. Don't worry about what the ad machine prints.
No wonder this sub eats up ESPN stories and morning talk shows with the amount of sensationalism going on since this happened... Jesus the pearl clutching here is at an all time high.
The only people supporting this are children, his teammates and people that make money by pot stirring.
It’s only too-online people that think this is a major story. Everyone else I’ve talked to who are basketball fans either didn’t care or laughed about it and moved on. It’s like Reddit spending months talking about Kyrie last season. Honestly nobody cares.
Soon as you see Skip Bayless you know you've gone wrong
Those guys don’t know basketball
Gobert made a very dumb decision by grabbing Klay, a guy half a foot shorter than him, instead of his own teammate. DG held on too long but I don't blame him for immediately taking action after Gobert threw off the balance by inserting himself in the situation. If you want to de-escalate, you grab your own guy, you don't 2-on-1 the other, smaller guy. Insanely bad judgement in the moment.
Reality pill for /r/NBA drama queens:
Most people don’t care. Nothing really happened. There was no fight and everyone should move on.
Thanks for the Ted talk
It’s totally absurd. He’ll blame anybody but himself. Never seeks out a tough guy, goes after the guy who was trying his best to calm everyone down. But he can pretend he’s tough tho…
I feel people are way to emotionally invested in this.
It's more concerning they can't even report the obvious: that the last good games of Draymond and Klay were back in 2019. After that, we only got delusional podcasts, fights, and attitude. And as their capabilities decline, these incidents will occur more often. Especially with Kerr and the organization defending them.
You realize Klay led the NBA last year in 3’s right? But his last good games were in 2019? Lol
When redditors realize their insane circlejerks don’t translate to the real world:
Are you genuinely concerned? Or do you just want to pile on here? There’s no way rudy gobert was in any danger. He put more lives at risk by rubbing his hands on a microphone while he had COVID, why have we forgotten that?
He has a successful podcast. Much like AAU (IMO) has ruined competitive professional basketball. Network affiliated podcasters are kinda skewing A LOT of the narratives.
Stephen A insists, for example, that Poole deserved to be hit DESPITE what internet detective Pablo Torre uncovered as to what really went down between the two. Why? Because they peers now. And you gonna want to have him on the show at some point.
All those people here crying about Draymond and in other threads crying about the soft league. You can't have it both ways.
What Draymond did was wrong, I say that as a Warriors fan, and I think he deserves a suspension.
Nobody got injured, people will move on. Nobody would have cared if it was some end of bench guy, but if it is about Draymond (who is a jackass), people are losing their shit. It's astonishing.
Am I the only one hoping for a fight so I can maybe see Dray get kicked in the nuts again?

Shit is like Prozac. I watch that clip and the sun is brighter. The birds start singing. The world feels a little lighter.
They wanna see an actual fight. That’s why
“Draymond is protecting his teammates!… Golbert can’t grab an opponent to protect his teammates!”
ESPN - crazy fight breaks out
THEY are paid to sensationalize it for you
Everyone wants the good old days back until the good old days are actually back …
I see Skip and I skip.
