To make a long story short. I guess, I failed at migrating the database before installing the upgrade (for reasons). Now everything is broken.

I have a backup of ma database and my production file, though from earlier this day.

Can I just "roll back" to 4.1.5, restore the database and re-do the procedure properly? Or do I have to reinstall 4.1.5 from scratch?

upgrading is too complicated. I tested it and ran into the same problem as you. in fact setting up mastodon is complicated also. why didn't they make it like most scripts where you upgrade it and install like most php scripts

Is there a solution to complete the upgrade process?
