Can Brunson be the 2nd best player on a championship team? (alien.top)

Do you think Brunson can be the #2 on a championship team. Imo he could be the #2 on a team like the Heat and they could win but in order for him to really take the next step he needs to improve his Playmaking. I don’t think his vision is tht bad he is just focused more on scoring

Yeah definitely.

We've seen Wiggins do it and think about how he was viewed prior to that.

Yes Brunson isn't appreciably worse than Jamal Murray, Andrew Wiggins, Khris Middleton or Kyle Lowry who were the 2nd best players on the last 4 champs

Probably if he’s next to a top 5 player. Similar to Murray and Jokic.

He’d be an elite 3rd option on a well built team though.

I mean he was the 2nd option with Luka and they got to the wcf

So yeah he could be depending on the team

He definitely could, but he would need a good amount of defensive personnel on the roster to hide him on defense, because he has (and will continue to be) targeted on that end
