  1. Franz
  2. Scottie Barnes
  3. Evan Mobley
  4. Alperun Sengun
  5. Jalen Green

Antics and drama aside, what team was Kyrie the best on as in what team was he was the most well rounded and best player compared to the other teams. Imo it’s his Brooklyn years because he wasn’t that old, really effecient on offense and it looked like he learned to play better off ball and didn’t need the ball in his hands as much. He also looks slower in his Brooklyn years than compared to Cleveland where he was super quick and really dribbled a lot.

But Wb last year?

If KD was healthy enough to play atleast 65 games anytime the last 3 seasons could he have won mvp? His shooting splits each of those years was insane and let’s say his end of the year stats were identical to his stats he averaged playing 35-40 games, those would have been some of the most efficient scoring seasons ever. Last year he averaged 29/7/5 on .56/.404/.919 shooting splits which is insane. I think he had a strong case of winning mvp last year if he didn’t get injured

A common narrative that I’ve seen about the early 2000s Lakers is that they would have still 3-peated if Shaq was paired with any all star guard during that time. That got me think whether Shaq could win with AI, Kidd, T Mac, Vince, Ray Allen or even Baron Davis. Imo I think he would have atleast went back to back with any of these players considering Kobe didn’t add much value in 2000.

What modern players would you put on this hypothetical 2001 76ers roster? Most of the guys on that roster were defensive specialists who didn’t have much scoring ability. My take on this team would be:

PG: Marcus Smart

SG: Allen Iverson

SF: Matisse Thybulle

PF: Jarred Vanderbilt

C: Rudy Gobert

6th man: TJ McConnell

Imo this team is a defensive juggernaut and AI would still be the only reliable offensive option and I could see this team making a deep playoff run in todays NBA, the cap is probably an ECF.

Both Kyrie and AI are in contention for the best handles of all time but what was Iverson better than Kyrie at, besides being a first option. Kyrie is a better shooter and finisher than prime Iverson while Iverson was much quicker, better slasher and was slightly better on defense. Although both of them took tough shots, Kyrie is a much more efficient player and even made the 50-40-90 club, I get that the eras are different and Kyrie was never the first option on a team built around him but I still don’t see Iverson being that efficient ever. I think the biggest difference between them both is Kyrie is bigger and stronger than him which I think helps him get to his spots, shoot over people and finish around the rim. Also if AI played in todays league, could he be the best player on a championship team?

With everyone proclaiming Luka as the next face of the league, I don’t think he’ll end up reaching the potential everyone thinks he will. People on here think that he’ll be atleast a multi time MVP and win a couple of championships but with the competition in the league right now and how good some of these young cores are, I don’t see Dallas ever being a major contender. This all goes out the window of Luka ever leaves Dallas but imo in Dallas he won’t get the job done, he’ll probably win a few mvps though

Imo Beal isn’t the right fit for this Suns team and is redundant when next to KD and Booker and I think the Suns could have used this past offseason to actually get someone who would make this team the favorite. I think they could have gotten someone like Siakam, OG, FVV or even Harden and they would have been a better fit. What are some names you think the suns could have gotten instead of Beal?

2019 Raptors

With the Celtics sitting at 12-4 which is the best record in the league, are they the favorites to win the championship. Imo their roster is much better than lost year even though they lost smart and some depth, they have a legit third option in Porzingis and Jrue who’s a lockdown perimeter defender and an all star. Tatum is also playing the best basketball I’ve seen him play, his shot making, rebounding and defense is much improved and tbh I can seem him making an MVP case either this year or next year. The Bucks and Suns are looking good but I don’t think they’re gonna face up well against the Celtics. The Nuggets are the only team I think can beat them just because the Nuggets have great team chemistry and even though their bench sucks, Jokic is the best player on the court and I don’t think Horford or Porzingis match up great with him.

that’s only in a situation where all the top 10 players play under 65 games

By 2028, what players do you think will be MVP? I see Luka winning one or 2, he’ll win one pretty easily but the 2nd one depends on the team record and if he has the #1 record and great stats he’ll win a couple. I think SGA or Trae might win one depending on their record and tbh I think Trae has what it takes to lead the league in points and assists the same year and if he does he deserves an mvp. SGA or Tatum could get one simply because of their team record. A super dark house player I see winning an mvp is Zion but that solely depends on his health but if he can stay healthy for 65 games and he a point forward he can win one. What do you guys think?

I agree that top 10 players don’t need 3 mvps what my point was that there haven’t been any players with 3 mvps who weren’t top 10 players so with Jokic being favored this year to win his 3rd mvp, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to assume he’ll be a top 10 player

[–] KnicksNBAchamps2021@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago

I agree which is weird why he’s being considered the front runner for this years mvp

[–] KnicksNBAchamps2021@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Tbh I don’t consider players like Russell or Wilt top 10 so I think he would fit in pretty well

I know this may seem like a dumb question but the reason I’m asking is because no player besides Lebron in the last 25 years has won more than 3 mvps and the only ones besides him are MJ, Magic, Bird, and Hakeem so if Jokic wins another MVP does he automatically slot into a top 10 player oat slot?

Who would u compare Luka to? Harden and a Walmart Larry Bird are the only ones I can think of

Do you think Luka will end his career with a few MVPs and FMVPs or is it more likely he goes down the harden route of being a great player, winning an MVP but never getting over the hump just because his competition was better. Imo I think he’ll end up similar to harden maybe with 2 MVPs but I don’t think he’ll win a chip, maybe he’ll get to a finals at one point. But if he ever leaves dallas, it’s up in the air cause if he teams up with another top 10 player they’re probably gonna win a chip. The guy I see being a multi time FMVP in this era is SGA just because I think his team has the potential to become really good and he would be the best player on that team. What are your guys thoughts?

I feel like every era has a few players who start off looking nothing more than role players but they end up becoming stars or even mvps. Some examples just from the past 10 years are Steph, Lowry, Kawhi, Giannis, and Jokic. Who do you think currently has the potential to follow in these players foot steps and potentially make the jump to superstar status? Imo the ones I can see happening are Tyrese Maxey who’s having a breakout season rn and I also think keyontae George can be a Donovan Mitchell type player.
