I just purchased the STATUS BETWEEN 3ANC and I have a question about their EQ settings. I enjoy the feature of the EQ settings option, this is the main reason I purchased these earbuds as I am an audio fan having over 10 headphones/earbuds myself. I have tried many different types and these are very satisfactory from all of my years of research on professional audio. However I have a problem/question with their functionality. Once I have set a EQ on my iPhone every time I connect to this iPhone the EQ settings are applied however when I connect them to my Apple Watch SE second generation with cellular and use this device to mainly listen to music with my runs on the EQ settings are not saved when using them on my Apple Watch. I would very much like to understand how to permanently save the EQ settings on these earbuds so that they can have this EQ settings permanently set on them when I connect to my Apple Watch or MacBook etc. Hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks.

Hi there! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm an Android/Windows (Samsung Z Fold 5, Watch 6 Classic, Windows PC) user and I haven't had the same problems with this.

I frequently bounce between my phone and my Windows PC and the EQ settings appear to stay the same as the preset I had created. I tested this a few different times using the same song and alternating between different EQ settings before switching over to my PC to listen to the same track.

Since you mentioned using your Apple Watch to test this, I decided to connect my Between 3ANC to my watch and disconnect it from both my phone and computer just in case. I can confirm that the EQ settings are being retained, at least to my amateur ears. I tend to go a bit heavy on the bass so hearing my test song with custom EQ should be fairly straightforward for my brain.

At this point, if you haven't done so already, I highly recommend you reach out to Status directly as their support has been S Tier from my experience with them and I've only had these earbuds for 48 hours.

Hope this helps and best of luck to you!

I appreciate your testing the same this on your devices. I have reached out to them directly before posting the same comment I sent to them as well. There is a slight difference in audio quality as I have noticed. My EQ setting appear like this (), bass being the highest and the highs being the lowest. The audio quality is slightly decreased as I presume the eq settings are changing back to their base setting and change back when connected to my iPhone when connect to it playing music from the phone. When connected to the watch it does not go as loud as it does on the phone and audio quality (noticeably in the bass region) decreases as well. I have done many car audio installations so this small difference is noticeable to me. Thanks again for your testing yet I still remain with the same problem.

Hi there!

Out of curiosity, do you experience this same issue with other devices like your computer or another Bluetooth capable device that's not your Apple Watch or phone?

As I was doing some research on the Between 3ANC and other devices, I found a few articles online stating that the quality of music players like Spotify on the Apple Watch was less than optimal, so depending on how you are consuming music on your Apple Watch, that may contribute to the difference in quality you are experiencing.

Just wanted to share this just in case it was relevant. ๐Ÿ™‚
