Yooo this looks fire, what is the components of the whole setup and how to do something like this (wanna plan for a setup like this in future but dunno from where to start)

The desk is made from sheesham wood, the mat is from GamersNexus. That keyboard is the Keychron Q5 with Drop DCX Garnet keycaps. The stack is the Topping D30 Pro DAC and the A30 Pro amp which are connected with Toppings own short XLR cables. The red DAC is the SMSL M300 MkII which I don't use or need anymore. The green amplifier is the RebelAmp (it doesn't have a lot of output power but the built quality is absolutely stunning). The PC case is the Fractal North.

How do they respond to a healthy bass shelf?

[–] Chillazar@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

The DCA Stealth have very low distortion so I could give them even more bass if I wanted to.

[–] Chillazar@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Haven't tried that because they already have a lot of sub Bass.

Glued ear pads and only 2 years of warranty should not be acceptable at that price point.

The ear pads aren't glued, but rather attached using double-sided tape. Quite easy to remove and replace.

It's poor industrial design.

I tried out the Stealth at CAF last weekend, and I think you described its strong points very well. It's very neutral and very precise in its rendering of sound. But to me, it wasn't comfortable due to an intense hotspot at the top of my head, and I didn't really get along with the sound. The aspects of sound that grew to annoy me on the Noire are still there in the Stealth. It rendered instruments as if they were played in a heavily sound-dampened or anechoic chamber. No decay to the sounds, notes just suddenly cut off. When I was A/B comparing it vs the Stax SR-X9000, the Stax was significantly more relaxed, open, and ultimately enjoyable to me. The Stealth sounded "uptight" in comparison, like it was trying too hard to be precise.

I don't want to be a downer, and I'm happy that you are properly enjoying all of the things that the Stealth excels at. I wish it fit better on my head, and I wish I enjoyed the sound more. It has basically perfect Harman Target adherence, so according to Dr. Olive's research, it should be the "perfect" sound. Maybe a bit too perfect for someone like me :)

Careful! The Stealth was the most expensive purchase I ever did because I started hearing source chain differences with them and now I own a very nice stack :) Enjoy! It's my favorite headphone and while I got it second hand for a steal I think it's one of the ones worth full price!
