Empyrean 2 uses the same MZ3 drivers as the Empyrean 1. There is only so much they can do with a new tuning. Elites are still much more technically capable headphones, and easy to EQ.

Loved the tuning and comfort of the 109s, but the headband was too microphonic for me. The smallest movements would cause grinding noises in the metal bands. Hope they can fix that in the next revision.

Meze headphones with those excellent silver cables. Best in the business.

Glued ear pads and only 2 years of warranty should not be acceptable at that price point.

Would really like to know if it still uses the MZ3 drivers from the original Empyrean or the MZ3SE from the Elite. Specs floating around, including on the Meze website have both listed currently, which can't be right.
