I pondered this question after my wife told she was going to “call Sam Hubbard to find out if he’s ok”.

I scoffed. Later, when I saw Burrow is a wrist brace, I also wanted to call Burrow to find out if he’s ok.

So who are you checking on when they go down?

Patrick Mahomes (shocking right?), I was born in Lubbock but raised in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Grew up surrounded by SEC fans and Tech only ever had a great run when I was pretty young. I remember the first year watching him I knew he was going to be special.

That first year he actually started in the NFL, I took him in every fantasy league I played, told all my buddies, preached about how great he was. Rest is history, favorite player ever.

My mother and any player who has an ACL tear. She has torn both of hers and when I was little she would send handwritten letters to players who had torn their ACLs. She never watched football and doesn’t like sports much in general. But she always empathized with those players.

Ravens fan here, but after the Kelce doc I’ve been watching Eagles games and just watching the offense line play. It’s a fascinating way to experience a game. Also I’ll watch Chiefs games to watch Travis run ”routes”. I watch their NFL top 100 videos too, Jason at 37 & Travis at 5, really interesting stuff.

Troy Polamalu. The guy is the perfect human specimen, on and off the field. I'm not gay, but Troy is the most gorgeous human being to ever grace this planet

I play with myself with the image of Jahmyr Gibbs imprinted in my spank bank memory

Danny Woodhead.

Fun name. Fun to watch athlete. Fun retirement.

Dak Prescott, hands down. More about the man he is than the player. We have a lot of shared experiences, and he’s a great dude. I hope one day his success on the field matches his success off the field.

when i was a kid i was obsessed with richard sherman, i must have been in grade 5/6 so around 10 or 11 years old. we had to do a presentation for class on someone we admired and my presentation was on richard sherman. i dmed him on instagram to ask him questions for my presentation and he answered! it was the highlight of my life at the time and i would not stop talking about it. every conversation i had with someone id have to bring up how richard sherman replied to me and “helped me on my project.”

i also met his mom at a seahawks game when i was a kid and she is an absolute sweetheart. i remember feeling like i had met a celebrity when i talked with his mom.

Kyle Dugger is playing at all pro level and I cannot be convinced otherwise

I have a weird liking of Tyler Allgier, I liked him before he came to Atlanta. Then I really liked him when he got here. Unfortunately, the Falcons are 0-5 when I wear his jersey this year.

Joseph Lee Burrow, Commander of The Cincinnati Panthera tigris tigris, son of Jim and Robin, brother of Jamie and Dan, LSU God, Heisman Winner, College National Champion, NFL Comeback Player of the Year (2021), and Perennial Training Camp Bad Luck Champion.

May he throw for eleventy billion yards and 600 quadrillion touchdowns.

But also George Kittle. You're not my friend if you don't like the human personification of a Golden Retriever.

[–] CuteBloop@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Tyler Lockett. Just a genuinely sweet guy by all accounts.

[–] knockbox85@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I only own one jersey and it's not even my team but I hope I'm wearing it the day I get to smoke Ricky Williams out

[–] TopleyBird@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I always convinced myself Eli's best years were in front of him. Even by like, year 15

George Kittle and I would be best friends. We both share a favorite wrestler, a childhood love of the Bears and an obsession with superheroes. A veritable match made in heaven!

[–] ramsfan_86@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I still check on how steven jackson is doing. Mans played his heart out for us and all he was rewarded with was bad o line and records.

Daniel Jones

[–] MeowwwBitch@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I know the Kelce family has been in the limelight so much, but a lot of us female Eagles fans really, really have had massive crushes on Jason Kelce for years. I think he has the #1 selling jersey among women in Philly when they released the new Kelly Greens

[–] Brocky70@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Teddy Bruschi

He's just so weirldly over represented in NFL lore in proportion to his actual on the field accomplishment are not nearly as long as you'd think.

I went down the rabbit hole a few years ago about him because someone compared him to Urlacher. Come to find out he was only a one time pro bowler and had only 2 2nd team all pros. I legit thought he was a hall of fame player.

In hindsight his teammates Ty law, Willie mcginest, Richard seymour and Vince wilfork were far more notable in those first three title wins but it always feels like i saw a lot more of his jerseys

[–] ulyssesemerson@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Donald Driver. Always just seemed like the coolest guy when I was a kid

[–] ThisIsSportacus@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I mean, weird choice, but ever since 30/30 I ride with Jameis. I still remember how fun that season was for me as a non bucs fan watching Jameis, it was like rolling the dice. Either he had 80 TDs or a hundred picks, there was no in between. I like that tbh. It's fun football.

[–] donnydollarz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

This motherfucker hufanga is coming outta no where all the god damn time. Everytime I watch a 49er game I’m amazed we don’t talk about him more. He is the closest thing we will ever get to (I know this is gonna sound tacky) troy polamalu and I appreciate the hell outta him… when I think of a football player I think of talanoa hufanga… and Matt judon. If both those players were on the bears I’d be so stoked

[–] Kap101@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Mike Evans. I feel like every Bucs fan’s personal Super Bowl is Mike getting another 1000 yard receiving season.
