I know this subject is mostly subjective but... So, the only issue I have with my DT770 Pro 80Ohm is its long cable. 3 meters is a looooot. So I've been thinking in doing the single ended detachable mod and buy a 1.5m (approximately) 3.5mm cable.

And I immediately thought, if I'm going to mod these DT770, I should do the balanced mod. But after watching tutorials, I can see it's a good amount of job. Not so complicated, but not so easy.

My DAC is the Qudelix 5K. Most of the time the volume is ok. Just in a very few videos or music, I need to turn up the volume to the max (an issue that could be solved with the balanced mod).

But, other than that, is it worth it for any other reason?

Anybody here with the Qudelix 5K and the DT770 Pro that notice any good improvement from using the 2.5mm balanced output of the 5K, over the 3.5mm output?

Or I should do the easier mod. As I mentioned, my only current real issue is the extremely long cable.

Thanks!
