Hey folks, I'm a DN that moves country every 1-2 years. One of the hardest (and most expensive) parts for me is selling all my furniture and then buying it all again in the next country. Shipping it all has never been an option because I always move continents, so would cost more than my furniture did!

I've been playing with the idea of creating a marketplace for expats/ Digital Nomads where you can buy and sell a full house of furniture from any city in the world, but I don't know if this is a 'me-specific' problem. How do you all do it? Am I missing something?

Do you generally find furnished places to live in the short term, or do you buy all your furniture individually until you finally have a full house of stuff and then sell it all individually again?

Not sure if this is the right place for the question, I initially posted in Expats, but realised most don't move as far and frequently as I do!

I've never had problems selling shit on fb marketplace. Infact I was surprised. Unless you're extremely greedy youll sell of everything in a day or two.

Travel ultra-light and ultra-functional. Somewhere between a digital nomad and a crazy mountain man.

Thrift shop for the rest.

I just bought decoration and some kitchenware last time because the apartment was lacking some homeliness and it took me 2 out of 3 months. I can't imagine buying furniture.

Any tips you can give out?
