Uh boy, bought a bunch of junk, I need to start selling some things.

Though there were a bunch of cheap surprises, like the Salnotes Zero, Chu 2, Nicehck eb2s and recently the Faaeal rosemary. I guess I have a thing for budget iems and earbuds, since sadly I don't regret getting any of these. I'm just about to get a pair of Hexa with the black Friday sales though, and I better be done for this year and half of the next one. And the Salnotes Zero 2 when it comes out. Then I will be done. Until I decide I'm allowed to buy a pair of hd600. Then I will have reached endgame. Then maybe I could get the dawn pro dac-amp, it's just 50€ or less when on sale. Then I will absolutely stop.

(I think this is becoming more of a problem and less of a hobby but, oh well lol)

Oddly enough, I think I only bought 1 headphone this year. The Sony MDR-Z7M2. But the year isn't over yet! And I may pick up the Z1R soon.

But most of my purchases have been source gear. I bought the Ferrum Erco, a Stax SRM-353x, and a Japanese SKU Sony Walkman ZX707 to round out my collection of players, DACs, and amps.

Moved from AKG K92 that i used for several years to Philips Fidelio X3 (for 80e, I found them extremely cheap) and bought FiiO KA1. They arrived this week. I can say I'm extremely pleased.

I'm a beginner at this stuff. Only this year I got interested in better quality headphones.

At start basically only for gaming, but quickly learned to appreciate them in just listening to music too. So now I have DT1990 Pro, that's my third pair (first DT770 & second DT990, sold 'em both) and just couple of weeks ago bought the LCD-2C, which I am very happy with!

All are outstanding for their price. I love how chifi is shaking up the iem markert and how crinacle is guiding them down the path of proper tuning, because let's face some earlier chifi had WACK tuning.

MDR-Z1R is still king around here. And M9 complements it very well.

Got the Edition XS six months ago, which I truly love, but am still using the 660S all day (both on XLR via Magnius). Nothing beats Sennheiser’s mids for YouTube consumption, or their comfort. Still my favorite pair of headphones since release.

Also grabbed the SHP9600 for $28 new on eBay. Easily the best deal I’ve ever gotten on headphones. They’re my bedtime MacBook set.

I was on a bit of an audio journey this year with gear and such. But exclusively headphones:

• DT990: Loved them until the piercing treble gave me nonstop headaches. Sold them.

-HD660s: Loved them but thought they got boring after a while. Sold them.

• DT1990: Loved them until the piercing treble gave me nonstop headaches. Sold them.

• Back to the HD660s.

I'm looking to get the HD 800s next year. I'm on a mission to find a pair of headphones that have awesome sound stage without treble that kill my ears.

Sold my LCD-X and bought HD650s. Have been tempted to grab a pair of 800s for a while now.

Well, I bought a KiwiEars Cadenza after I junked my shitty Moondrops, and a couple of fresh Apple dongles to replace them as I inevitably lose them, but IEMs are not something I use very often, so not too exciting for me.
