I think Ty Lue and the Clippers should focus more on how they can maximize PG. He’s clearly the best player on the Clippers considering Harden is washed and Kawhi isn’t his old self. I would say Russ is the second best Clipper at this point.

I think Clippers need to just focus on PG being the main guy while the others play less of a dominant role because if they all try to be dominant it just won’t work out. I’m not sure how much the others will buy in but if they let PG do his thing and run plays for him and then the others come in where needed then this team has a chance.

Just my opinion, thoughts?

In the brief part of the season before the Clippers acquired Harden this year, George was the best player in the league, leading the league in WS/48. Kawhi was pretty high up there too. Both have plummeted since Harden's acquisition.

The Clippers have put a hat on a hat with this Harden deal. They didn't need to do it, they just needed to continue to see what healthy PG and Kawhi + role players together actually looked like in 2023.

Harden is averaging 1.3 points per possession in ISO and 1.5 ppp in pick and roll. I think the obvious answer is to have Harden on the ball more, others on the ball less, and watch the team offense take off.

He’s been that for sure this season. But if kawhi is closer to he is rn than how he played last playoffs then the clippers will not get near a a chip. It’s on kawhi to step up if he can but maybe he’s not who he was before.

PG is too inconsistent. One game he's prime Kobe, next game he's Raptors Vanvleet, going 3-19, and it's not even that generous of a 50/50 split.

Russ isn't second best, he's just an energy guy and good at playmaking. Good PGs will always be important to a team.

I stopped reading when you said Russ was the second best player on the Clippers

PG’s definitely been the most consistent since last season, that’s for sure.
