Assumption - You have a competitive product. You need a marketing/distribution support to get in front of the customers.

Medium to reach potential customers could be anything depending upon the target audience - Social media, Blog, Newsletter, Email, Web platforms like Indie Hackers or Starter story etc.

Get in front of potential customers? $0.

I don't trust for a second that any of whoever you would get in front of, would turn into an actual sale for any hope of an ROI.

If you believe otherwise, put your money where your mouth is and instead charge a commission on the sales you bring. Then, your cut could be thousands, tens of thousands if you found the right customer. And all you have to do is what you already said you would.

Don't operate that way? Why not, don't believe in your own service? Why should I?

If you are trying to figure out going rates, just reference PPC costs and display advertising costs (CPM.)

For the first 10,100d do it yourself within the 1-2nd degree connections and network; for 1000 should be founder and a sales guy/ BD guy networking eg at events and doing outreach via LinkedIn, for the 10000+ thwt when ide be putting money into a sales team or marketing resources

Obviously there’s wide variance for industry but I’d save if it’s B2C or “business saas” (like hubspot or canva) this would be reasonable to apply

How much I pay at 10-100 is just my time at 1000 would be 1 mid-level sales guys time at 10k+ would be based on my revenue and margins basically aiming to be ROI positive or at least have a return on CAC no more than 2

Customers??

The problem is here potential.

Potential is too subjective.

I own a website, does that mean I'm a potential buyer for web design and SEO? No. I have 0 desires and intentions to make that purchase at this time.

Getting in front of high intent customers is better than potential. Anybody is technically potential, but if they have zero need for your solution, then who cares.

What does a FaceBook ad cost?

[–] Sound-Evening@alien.top 1 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The question is how likely are they to convert to sales.
